  • Publication number: 20210004296
Abstract: One or more storage locations of file inodes in a data source to be backed up are identified. Filesystem metadata information is extracted from the one or more identified storage locations. At least one item of the extracted filesystem metadata information includes a reference to a parent inode. The extracted filesystem metadata information are stored in a data structure. The contents of the data structure are analyzed to index a relationship structure of file system contents of the data source.

  • Patent number: 10841706
Abstract: A speaker apparatus is provided in order to both receive and dissipate heat and to provide acoustic absorption for sound waves propagating through a speaker cavity. The speaker apparatus includes a speaker and a speaker cavity configured to receive sound waves emitted by the speaker for propagation through the speaker cavity. The speaker apparatus also includes a heat dissipation structure disposed at least partially within the speaker cavity. The heat dissipation structure includes a thermally conductive mesh that at least partially fills the speaker cavity. The heat dissipation structure further includes an active element configured to direct heat generated by a component into the thermally conductive mesh for dissipation therein. The thermally conductive mesh is configured to provide acoustic absorption for the sound waves propagating through the speaker cavity.

  • Patent number: 10808729
Abstract: A power source is configured to apply a first alternating electric excitation signal to an oscillation blade device at a first excitation frequency causing a blade of the oscillation blade device to oscillate at a first oscillation frequency. A current detector is configured to measure amplitude values of the current supplied by the power source to the oscillation blade device. A processor is configured to assess a plurality of successive peak values of the measured amplitudes, determine a second oscillation frequency for the blade if variation in the successive peak values is detected and send a command to the power source to apply a second alternating electric excitation signal to the oscillation blade device at a second excitation frequency which matches the determined second oscillation frequency.

  • Publication number: 20190213089
Abstract: A method and system for obtaining identified content items that have been backed up is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request to obtain an identified content item. A backup location among a plurality of backup locations where the identified content item is stored is determined. It is determined whether the backup location corresponds to a serialized representation of a backup snapshot including the identified content item. In response to a determination that the backup location corresponds to the serialized representation, the identified content item is extracted from the serialized representation including building a stubbed snapshot tree using the serialized representation. As a response to the request, the identified content item is provided and extracted using the stubbed snapshot tree.

  • Patent number: 9721564
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing ASR in the presence of heterographs are provided. Verbal input is received from the user that includes a plurality of utterances. A first of the plurality of utterances is matched to a first word. It is determined that a second utterance in the plurality of utterances matches a plurality of words that is in a same heterograph set. It is identified which one of the plurality of words is associated with a context of the first word. A function is performed based on the first word and the identified one of the plurality of words.

  • Publication number: 20170083963
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a curated list of gift recommendations for users without querying the users or publicly disclosing information about the users. The systems and methods may identify a list of recommended gifts that share a particular attribute provided by a first user. By comparing the list of recommended gifts with a user profile for a second user to determine a weighting for each gift, and filtering the list based on the weightings, the first user may be provided with a curated list of gift recommendations customized for the second user, without the need to fully access the second user's profile.

  • Publication number: 20170083962
Abstract: A media guidance application that creates a profile for a second user based on publically or privately available information about the second user. For example, the media guidance application may query the first user for information on the likes and/or dislikes of the second user. The media guidance application may use this information to create a user profile. The media guidance application may then supplement the user profile with other information that is publically or privately available. The supplemented profile may then be used to provide gift recommendations.
