  • Patent number: 12268946
Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering exercise content to a user of an exercise apparatus include a database storing exercise content, data associated with a content provider and data associated with an application provider, and a platform server operable to facilitate delivery of the exercise content to the exercise apparatus. The platform server delivers for display on the exercise apparatus archived exercise classes for selection by the user, receives from the exercise apparatus a selection, transmits data representing content of the selected archived exercise class, receives performance data from the exercise apparatus based on activity by the user, and generates archived performance data representing archived user performance parameters for a plurality of other users over at least the portion of the selected archived exercise class. Data is synchronized and updated for display by the exercise apparatus to simulate the user competing with at least some of the other users.

  • Publication number: 20240181295
Abstract: Various systems and methods that enhance an exercise or other physical activity performed by a user are described. In some embodiments, a classification system communicates with a media hub to receive images and perform various methods for classifying or detecting poses, exercises, and/or movements performed by a user during an activity. In some embodiments, the systems and methods include a movements database (dB) that stores information as entries relating individual movements to data associated with the individual movements. Various systems, including class generation systems and body focus/activity systems, can utilize the movements database when presenting class content to users and/or presenting exercise information (e.g., muscle groups worked or targeted) to the users.

  • Patent number: 8174989
Abstract: Arrangements and methods for developing a software toolkit that can be used to design or obtain parameters for a sensor network. High-level guidelines on the basic relations between sensor network parameters like number of sensors, degree of quantization at each sensor, and the distortion requirements, based on a deep analysis on two basic coding possibilities (multiplexed point-to-point, distributed) are contemplated. By evaluating tradeoffs among the various parameters, an optimization framework to obtain the most cost-effective design with required quantization capabilities pertaining to given distortion criterion is provided.
