  • Publication number: 20230269688
Abstract: A method disclosed herein includes registering, by a User Equipment (UE), with a primary cell of a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) after terminating at least one communication service initiated in a second RAT, and initiating, by the UE, Inter-Radio Access Technology (IRAT) measurement of a secondary cell before receiving a reconfiguration message from the primary cell in response to the registering, the secondary cell being associated with the primary cell.

  • Publication number: 20230247409
Abstract: A method for optimizing PWS message reception in multi-SIM multi-standby UE and UE thereof are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a scheduling information of SIBs containing a PWS message from a first network entity and the scheduling information of SIBs containing the PWS message from second network entity. The method checks whether a PWS message identifier is present in a primary CBS configuration list of the first SIM and if so, receives the SIBs based on the scheduling information. The method checks whether the PWS message identifier is present in a secondary CBS configuration list of the second SIM, and terminates reception of the SIBs by the second SIM when the PWS message identifier is absent. A CBS notification is sent by the first SIM, containing the PWS message to a CBS controller in the absence of error while receiving the PWS message from the SIBs.

  • Publication number: 20220182906
Abstract: Accordingly, the embodiment herein is to provide a method for coordinating tune away event of a Multiple Universal Subscriber Identity Module User Equipment (MUSIM UE) (100), where the MUSIM UE (100) includes a plurality of Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) (150). The method includes receiving, by a second SIM (150B) of the MUSIM UE (100), data in a Downlink (DL) message from a network device (200) over an air interface, where the data includes a follow-on indication. Further, the method includes decoding, by the second SIM (150B) of the MUSIM UE (100), the received data. Further, the method includes coordinating, by the second SIM (150B) of the MUSIM UE (100), the tune away event of the MUSIM UE (100) based on the decoding of the received data.

  • Patent number: 10313963
Abstract: Some example embodiments disclose methods for selecting registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) radio access technology (RAT) modes in wireless communication devices. The method as disclosed herein includes determining location information of the wireless communication device; validating the location information; deriving a RPLMN from the validated location information when the validating is successful; storing a RPLMN access technology (AccTech) based on the derived RPLMN; and selecting a RAT mode using the stored RPLMN AccTech.

  • Patent number: 10244087
Abstract: A method for handling an ATTACH reject message with packet radio service mobility management reject cause number (#14 cause) at a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, at the UE, an ATTACH accept message for a network service on a public land mobile network (PLMN) from a first network entity, wherein the PLMN is in a “forbidden PLMNs for general packet radio service (GPRS) service” list, detecting, by the UE, that the UE's evolved universal terrestrial radio access (E-UTRA) capability is disabled, and enabling, by the UE, the UE's E-UTRA capability and removing the PLMN from the “forbidden PLMNs for GPRS service” list.

  • Patent number: 9565598
Abstract: A method of reducing delay in Circuit Switched FallBack (CSFB) in a Radio Access Technology (RAT) communications network. The method includes initiating, by a terminal, a combined attach procedure by sending an attach request message to the RAT communications network, receiving, by the terminal, an attach accept message along with Location Area Identification (LAI) information from the network in response to the attach request message, checking, by the terminal, network identifier information in a RAT information table based on the received LAI, and selecting a mobile network based on the network identifier information to trigger establishment of a circuit-switched call.
