Abstract: A control unit assembly for a robotic surgical system includes a housing, a surgical instrument, and a motor block assembly supported within the housing. The housing includes a front face, a rear face, and a sidewall extending between the front and rear faces. The motor block assembly includes a motor block module that is selectively attachable to the surgical instrument. The motor block module is remotely actuatable to control the surgical instrument. The motor block module is axially movable relative to the housing to facilitate movement of the surgical instrument relative to the housing.

Abstract: A surgical instrument of a robotic surgical system includes an elongated shaft assembly, and end effector, and an instrument cassette assembly. The elongated shaft assembly has a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The end effector is supported the distal end portion of the elongated shaft assembly. The instrument cassette assembly is supported on the proximal end portion of the elongated shaft assembly. The instrument cassette assembly includes a cassette housing and an actuator system supported in the cassette housing. The actuator system is operably coupled to the end effector for operating the end effector.

Abstract: A dialysis machine operable with a disposable set having at least one container, the dialysis machine including a pump actuator operable to pump dialysis fluid to and/or from the at least one container; a weigh plate positioned to support the at least one container; a plurality of operational load cells positioned to support the weigh plate; a linear actuator positioned to apply a force to the weigh plate; a calibration load cell positioned to measure the force applied by the linear actuator; and a control unit in operable communication with the operational load cells, the linear actuator and the calibration load cell, the control unit configured to cause the linear actuator to apply the force to the weigh plate, compare resulting outputs from the operational load cells and the calibration load cell, and determine a calibration factor from the comparison for offsetting future outputs from the operational load cells.

Abstract: A peritoneal dialysis system comprises a cycler including a pump actuator; a disposable set including a pumping portion operable with the pump actuator, a patient line positioned to fluidly communicate with the pumping portion, and a drain container positioned to fluidly communicate with the pumping portion; and a control unit configured to cause the pump actuator to actuate the pumping portion to (i) run a peritoneal dialysis treatment in which fresh dialysis fluid is pumped through the patient line to a patient and used dialysis fluid is pumped from the patient to the drain container, and (ii) at the end of treatment, pump the used dialysis fluid from the drain container, through the patient line, to a house drain.
