  • Patent number: 11463455
Abstract: An online system receives digital content and determines whether the digital content includes malicious content, such as obfuscated text, before presenting the digital content to a user. To determine whether the digital content contains malicious content, the online system renders the digital content. The online system performs optical character recognition on the content. The online system uses an obfuscation machine learning model to identify obfuscated text. The online system may deobfuscate the obfuscated text. The online system may prevent presentation of the digital content in response to detecting obfuscated text.

  • Publication number: 20220268523
Abstract: A cooking control system accesses a set of training data used to train a machine learned model configured to detect smoke in a kitchen environment based on image data of a stovetop. The cooking control system receives real-time image data of a stovetop from a camera in the kitchen environment and applies the machine learned model to the image data to determine a likelihood that the image data includes smoke. If the cooking control system determines that the received images contain smoke, the cooking control system may perform one or more actions, such as disabling operation of the stovetop and sending an alert indicative of smoke to a user of he cooking control system or a local emergency department.

  • Patent number: 11327876
Abstract: In some examples, a server receives configuration data from a device. The server receives a software or firmware update from a vendor and determines, based on the configuration data, that the update is installable on the device. The server creates and configures a container, based on the configuration data, to create a replica of the device. The server installs the update in the replica and performs multiple tests that generate logs. If the logs indicate that the update caused no issues, the server sends the update to the device. If the logs indicate that the update caused an issue, the server sends the update to the vendor. In response, the server receives, from the vendor, a modified update that addresses the issue, installs the modified update in the replica, performs the tests, determines that the modified update causes no issues, and sends the modified update to the device.

  • Publication number: 20220122001
Abstract: Approaches presented herein provide for the generation of synthetic data to fortify a dataset for use in training a network via imitation learning. In at least one embodiment, a system is evaluated to identify failure cases, such as may correspond to false positives and false negative detections. Additional synthetic data imitating these failure cases can then be generated and utilized to provide a more abundant dataset. A network or model can then be trained, or retrained, with the original training data and the additional synthetic data. In one or more embodiments, these steps may be repeated until the evaluation metric converges, with additional synthetic training data being generated corresponding to the failure cases at each training pass.

  • Patent number: 10915918
Abstract: Systems and methods herein are related to augmented reality (AR) experiences in connection with items offered by entities. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, an AR search request from a user where the AR search request includes a search criteria and a location. The computing device then searches in a memory for at least one entity consistent with the search criteria and the location. In turn, the computing device returns an AR search response to the user, at an application of a communication device associated with the user. The AR search response includes an AR quotient indicative of a level of an AR experience at the at least one entity, thereby permitting the user to identify the level of the AR experience at the at least one entity prior to deciding to visit the at least one entity.

  • Patent number: 10496153
Abstract: A computing device includes a chassis and a processor. The processor obtains a computing device identifier from a removable component disposed in the chassis. The processor makes a determination that the removable component is bound to a second computing device based on the obtained computing device identifier. In response to the first determination, the processor disables the removable component.
