Abstract: An inventory control system may include one or more paddles, a position of which is changed by adding or removing items to be inventoried, a plurality of encoder strips, each connected for motion with a paddle, and a plurality of detectors at least some of which are each responsive to the motion of an encoder strip to determine the addition or removal of the items. The encoding strip may be in the form of a loop mounted for rotation or a linear member such as self coiling strip. An alternate embodiment may include an illumination target mounted for motion with each paddle and a light source and detector for determining motion of the target.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an inventory control system where the most updated number of products displayed on a display space is electronically determined and communicated to a computer for remote users, and electronically displayed along with other relevant information about the products.

Abstract: A toothbrush with removable brushing members includes a handle, a brush head extending from the handle, and a first brushing member of soft wood. The brush head includes a bottom surface and a body together defining a cavity for receiving the first brushing member. The brush head further includes an anchoring member extending partially around the inside perimeter of the body except at a first end of the inside perimeter of the body. The first brushing member is inserted into the cavity at the first end and is slid along the cavity into the anchoring member. The anchoring member compresses against and bites into the sides of the first brushing member to secure the first brushing member in the cavity. The toothbrush can include multiple brushing members. In one embodiment, the brushing members are stubs made of siwak sticks so that effective dental cleaning can be carried out using siwak.

A sywack stick can be cut into stubs of a desired height and assembled into the toothbrush of the present invention so that effective dental cleaning can be carried out using sywack.
