  • Patent number: 11242910
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable cone pulley transmission is disclosed. The plate link chain includes a first chain link, a second chain link, and a third chain link having plates and being connected to one another by joints having rocker pins. The rocker pins have end faces configured to transmit friction forces between the plate link chain and cone pulleys, wherein at least one of the plates has at least one overlapping tip. The first, second, and third chain links form a triplet and have different plate assemblies comprised of a first plate unit or a second plate unit, each of the chain links having at least one plate positioned transversely to a running direction of the plate link chain and are repeated in the running direction of the plate link chain.

Inventors: Alaa Harmouch, Yudhi Lukito, Stephan Penner, Carsten Trautmann
  • Patent number: 10883576
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission in a motor vehicle comprising chain links. The chain links have link plates coupled to one another by pairs of rocker pins and at least two different sprocket pitches. At least one absorption mass is arranged between two pairs of rocker pins in an absorption space within a link plate inner contour.

Date of Patent: January 5, 2021
Assignee: Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG
Inventors: Alaa Harmouch, Sandra Schaub, Stephan Penner
  • Patent number: 10619705
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission of a motor vehicle is provided. The plate link chain includes a plurality of link plates arranged parallel to a running direction of the plate link chain and each link plate includes an aperture formed therein. A plurality of pressure pieces are oriented perpendicular to the running direction and arranged in pairs to be received in the apertures of the link plates to form two joints in each link plate. The two joints in each link plate are supported by arcuate outer sections of the pressure pieces.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
Assignee: SCHAEFFLER TECHNOLOGIES AG & CO. KG
    Inventors: Alaa Harmouch, Konstantin Braun
  • Patent number: 10295016
Abstract: A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission of a motor vehicle. The chain is formed from longer and shorter chain links that are formed from and that include respective longer and shorter link plates that are coupled to each other by pairs of rocker pressure members. Both the shorter link plates and the longer link plates have at least one longitudinally extending external appendage.
