Abstract: A group specific communication assembly such as a telephone assembly which is operative to appeal to anyone or all of specific groups of individuals such as, but not limited to, children, teenagers, the elderly, the visually challenged or hearing impaired, the chronically ill, etc. A programmable control assembly includes a plurality of control members which are structured for selective operation of the telephone assembly, such that activation of at least some of said plurality of control members comprise dialing buttons selectively operable by a user to define a limited access operation. At least some of said plurality of control members being disposed in cooperative relation to corresponding ones of a plurality of windows to at least partially define a predetermined display which may be configured to represent facial characteristics applicable to a younger group of users.

The one or more auxiliary modules may be permanently secured to the platform of the portable computer in spaced, segregated relation to the keyboard and keys associated therewith. Alternatively, one or more of the auxiliary modules may be removably mounted on or detachably connected to the platform and keyboard, wherein regardless of their fixed, removable or detached relation to the platform of the computer, each of the auxiliary modules are independently operable to effect data and signal communication with the central processor of the computer, independent of operation of the conventional keyboard.

Abstract: A cellular telephone back up and media system that is structured for use with a cellular telephone of the type having an input structure and an internal memory on which a quantity of personal data is maintained. The back up and media system includes a memory module which contains a quantity of information and an external transfer module communicatively connected with the cellular telephone and defining an interface via which the memory module is communicatively connected with the internal memory of the cellular telephone. Transferring programming is further provided and is structured to direct the transfer of the personal information from the cellular telephone to the memory module as well as the transfer of information from the memory module to the internal memory of the cellular telephone.
