Abstract: The invention relates to a blow-extruder machine possessing a frame (4) having a plane support structure (6) and supporting a wheel (10) which can rotate about its axis (12) in a vertical plane and which is equipped with moulds (14) on its periphery, the moulds being, as a function of their positions in the plane of the wheel, closed in order to create a moulding cavity (16) or open in order to receive a tubular parison (42), and an extrusion head (40) located in an area in which the opposite mould is open and intended to supply the said parison (42) according to a direction (F) which is inclined relative to the support surface (6) and downwards, the machine comprising a support (60; 70; 80) possessing a plane (P) which is inclined relative to the horizontal and which supports the support surface (6), the inclined plane (P) forming, with a horizontal plane, an acute angle (b) which is approximately equal to 90.degree.

Abstract: A bottle has a rounded bottom, a lateral wall and a separate base. The base comprises a lateral wall which surrounds and is fixed to a lower portion of the lateral wall of the bottle. It also comprises an annular support boss and a bottom part comprising an area supporting the bottom of the bottle. The bottle comprises a passage for a heat exchange fluid. This passage includes inlet and outlet areas for the heat exchange fluid. The flow of the fluid through the passage passes across part of the bottom of the bottle. This facilitates effective pasteurization or deep-freezing of the bottle's contents.

Abstract: An inspection head to test objects such as plastic bottles for absence of leaks and crushing resistance includes a column having a seal for an aperture in the object which may be applied to the object to exert a crushing force and a fluid supply source to apply a pressure inside the object, which pressure is compared with a reference pressure by means of a movable diaphragm. When the object has an adequate resistance to crushing so that the column does not move beyond a certain point, and the object is free from leaks so that the difference in pressure does not exceed a given value, apertures in sliding members movable according to the positions of the diaphragm and column are in alignment, which fact may be checked by passing a light beam through the apertures. When the apertures are not in alignment the object may be rejected. The head may be used for continuous in-line inspection of objects which are produced successively.
