  • Publication number: 20060049832
Abstract: A process and circuit for the connection of electrical loads to the terminals of an amplifier, and for detection of a possible connection defect of said electrical loads. An electrical load is connected to two terminals of the amplifier according to a complete-bridge mounting. At least one second electrical load is connected according to a half-bridge mounting. In a preliminary phase, reference values representative of the currents flowing in each of the connection branches are memorized and measured and there are detected from these measurements and memorized, the reference values of the currents flowing through each of the terminals. During operation of the amplifier, the current passing through each of the two terminals is measured and compared to the corresponding memorized reference value, so as to detect therefrom the connection branch or branches which suffer a connection defect of an electrical load.

  • Patent number: 6998967
Abstract: This method is intended for a vehicle (2) equipped with a hands-free access system comprising a badge (4) and means of communication by electromagnetic signals between the vehicle (2) and the badge (4) making it possible to locate the badge (4) with respect to the vehicle. The hands-free access system makes it possible to operate a locking of the doors when the last door of the vehicle (2) is closed and when the badge (4) exits a first zone (Z1) delimited around the vehicle. A second zone (Z2), more extensive than the first zone (Z1), is delimited around the vehicle. A relocking is commanded when, after a locking of the doors commanded by the hands-free system, a door is opened without action of the hands-free system and then closed again, uniquely insofar as a badge (4) is located within the second zone (Z2).

  • Publication number: 20060030973
Abstract: A method of managing the energy consumption of a proximity sensor mounted on a handle of a door of a vehicle. This sensor detects an actuation of the handle and activates a device for control of access to the vehicle. The method includes supplying the proximity sensor so as to instigate: either a mode of operation termed current, during which the proximity sensor is supplied electrically, so as to control a periodicity of measurements which is suitable for activating the access control device in a time span that is short enough, and in particular before the handle has been fully actuated, or a mode of operation termed idle, implemented after a predetermined duration of non-use of the vehicle, in which the proximity sensor is supplied electrically so as to control a periodicity of proximity measurements that is less than that of the current mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 6963268
Abstract: This process relates to a vehicle equipped with a hands-free access system in which the vehicle is equipped with short-range antennas intended to send a signal to a tag. The latter is furnished on the one hand with a receiver for receiving the signals sent by the antennas of the vehicle and on the other hand a transmitter of longer range than the transmitting antennas of the vehicle so as to transmit signals in response to signals received from the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6943664
Abstract: This process comprises the following steps: detection of the need for resynchronization, identification of a desynchronized badge and memorization in a computer of a corresponding code, memorization of the message sent by the computer to the badges, and emission of the modified message (step 70), reception of the modified message by the desynchronized remote control, automatic resynchronization between the remote control and the computer, and emission of a response to the message from the computer, reception of the response from the badge by the computer, and erasure of the memory and return to the base message.

  • Patent number: 6828900
Abstract: This process is adapted for at least two groups of antennas (4, 6). A modulated signal is emitted by a first group of antennas (4) whilst the antennas (6) of a second group emit a similar modulated parasitic signal but of less amplitude. An unmodulated signal of an amplitude comprised between the amplitude of the parasitic signal and the amplitude of the signal emitted by the first group of antennas (4) is superposed on the parasitic signal emitted by the antennas (6) of the second group. Application to a free hand system for access and/or starting of an automotive vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20040174245
Abstract: In this process for controlling at least two groups of antennas, a coded signal (26) is emitted by a first group of antennas, whilst the antennas of a second group emit a residual signal (28) similar to the coded signal but of lesser amplitude.

  • Patent number: 6671599
Abstract: A first computer (6) is linked to the safety facility (4) and a second computer (12) intended to control an actuator (2) interrogates prior to any command to turn on and/or turn off the actuator (2) the first computer (6) as to the state of the safety facility (4). The second computer (12) interrogates the state of the safety facility (4) directly by sending an encrypted message. The first computer (6) forwards in one direction the question of the second computer (12) to the safety facility (4) and in the opposite direction the response of the latter. The second computer (12) verifies the consistency of the response received. The encryption code is known to the second computer (12) and to the safety facility (4) but is unknown to the first computer (6). The process is applicable to the automobile field.

  • Publication number: 20030146822
Abstract: In this process for emission of a request toward a badge of a remote control system, the request is transmitted by a signal of a predetermined frequency, with the help of antennas adapted to emit within the interior of the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The amplitude of the signal transmitting a single and same request varies in the course of the transmission of this same request between two end values (A1, A2), and in that the amplitude corresponding to the lower end value (A2) is sufficient that the portion of the request emitted with this minimum amplitude (A2) be perceived only within the predetermined zone.
