Abstract: A portable animal loading chute includes a floor and side walls for transferring animals from the ground to a higher semi-trailer and smaller lower trailer for transportation. The whole chute including both the base and side walls move upwardly and downwardly to the height of the vehicle. What we did is make the angle of the loading chute is designed at half way between both heights so that a triangular gap is formed as the end faces of the side walls are not vertical and do not meet the vertical walls at the ground and trailer. Thus a small rectangular panel is mounted at each end of each side wall that can pivot to adjust to give the final required angle for to meet the vertical walls at the respective height.

Abstract: A grain storage bin includes a cylindrical wall formed by a plurality of panels arranged in rows with a bottom edge of a first row bolted to a top edge of a second lower row. At each joint the bottom edge of the first upper row is overlapped with and outside of the outer surface of top edge of the second lower row and the bottom edge is fastened to the top edge by bolts carrying spacers as to define a first channel along the joint for passage of air. A central air injection duct is formed of a series of generally frustoconical duct pieces arranged in a row suspended on a cable from the roof with a tube portion into which the air is injected fixed on legs at a hopper bottom standing upwardly therefrom. The cable is connected by a spring at the bottom to maintain tension.

Abstract: A panel for a fence includes elongated rail members and a post formed from first and second post members each of which has slots at spaced locations along the respective post member. The post members are interconnected in a post-forming condition in which the slots of one post member are aligned with those of the other so as to cooperate to form enclosed receptacles for carrying the rail members. The slots are generally semi-cordate shaped, and the slots of each post member have opposite orientation to the other, so as to enhance clamping of the rail member between the post members. There is also disclosed a method for forming such a panel for a fence.

Abstract: In a cattle chute including a head gate at the head end with gates movable from a closed position in a common plane to an open position facing the incoming animals there is provided a transverse abutment member across the top of vertical bars of the gates and a pull cord operable by a worker at the rear end of the chute to push the vertical bars into the closed position.
