  • Patent number: 5400892
Abstract: A selector device for moving at least one object such as a substrate to a processing station includes an object-holder rotatably mounted on a support and having areas for receiving objects to be processed which can be moved successively to the processing station. A force accumulator member connected to the object-holder rotates the object-holder in one direction. An incrementer mechanism has a stop system on the support and an abutment system on the object-holder and respectively associated with the receiving areas. The stop system cooperates successively with the abutments of the abutment system to hold the object-holder at successive positions such that the receiving areas are successively located at the processing station. A trigger arrangement operates on the incrementer mechanism so that the stop system passes selectively from one abutment to the next abutment after rotation of the object-holder by the force accumulator member.

  • Patent number: 4595254
Abstract: A collimator for use with an optical fibre includes a holder for the fibre, the holder having a V-shaped recess at the bottom of which the fibre is held in place. The collimator also includes an optical member able to transform a light beam from the fibre into a parallel beam, the optical member being fixed with respect to the holder. The holder and the optical member are precisely positioned with respect to one another in order to minimize, at a given distance from the optical member, the cross-section of a beam from the fibre which has been transformed by the optical member. The collimator also has a support which can be fitted into the recess so that holder can be adapted to the support, so that it can control the direction of the beam from the fibre which has been transformed by the optical member.

  • Patent number: 4550971
Abstract: A coupling connector has metallic contacts for separately securing insulated conductors. The connector base comprises two half-shells joined by a hinge. At least one of the half-shells comprises a row of plug-supports. At least the rear part of each plug-support has a U-shaped cross section. The other half-shell comprises a row of wire clamping U-shaped grooves, each having a longitudinal axis which is parallel to the axis of a corresponding one of the supports. Each U-shaped groove is in the axis of one plug-support when the two half-shells are closed one on the other, by pivoting around the hinge. Each of a pair of spears is symmetrically positioned with respect to the longitudinal axis of the groove. The half-shell has a row of holes behind the plug-supports. The spear pairs on the other half-shell hook to the holes when the two half-shells are closed.

  • Patent number: 4421965
Abstract: A multilayer cross point matrix switch is composed of orthigonally arranged first and second layers of spaced parallel conductors mounted on insulating guides having window arrays for placement of plugs to interconnect discrete first and second conductors of different layers at a given crosspoint. The plugs contain conductor surfaces occupying an angular sector of approximately 180 degrees. The crosspoint switches are opened or closed by one quarter of a rotation of the plug in one direction or another direction. The plugs are selectively rotated by selection bars having flexible teeth engaging a cresent-shaped head on each plug. Several types of actuating mechanisms for operating the cross-point switches are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4362286
Abstract: A thermal connector adapted to connect a calorie dissipating support to a thermal drain. It comprises a deformable metal two-part clamp, each part of which is constituted by two webs conforming to the shape of the dissipating support, as regards one of said clamp-parts, and the shape of the thermal drain, as regards the other clamp-part. Said connector is also provided, between said two clamp-parts, with a housing for an actuating-key with longitudinal edges, said key having a position of rest at which said longitudinal edges do not exert any force whatever on the walls of said central housing, the webs of the end clamp-parts being then moved apart and said connector being unlocked, and a working position, obtained by causing said key to rotate by a quarter turn with respect to said position of rest; said key has then the function of moving apart the walls of said central housing and to draw the webs of each of said end clamp-parts nearer to each other, said connector being thus locked.
