  • Publication number: 20240151119
Abstract: A system and associated method for detecting an entity in a detection area surrounding a drilling machine is provided. The detection area is being divided into a plurality of subzones, with each of said plurality of subzones being associated with a corresponding safety level. The system comprises at least one optical scanner optically covering the detection area and operable to capture the entity within the detection area; a controlling device, operatively connected with the at least one optical scanner, the controlling device is configured to: determine a position of the entity captured by the at least one optical scanner within at least one of the plurality of subzones of the detection area; and trigger at least one action signal based on the safety level of the subzone corresponding to the determined position of the entity.

  • Patent number: 11524424
Abstract: A method of making a wood particle board containing sticking type resin coated wood particles wherein the top of a layup of the coated wood particles is smoothed to provide a smooth a top surface on the layup and a release agent is applied on the top surface and the so coated layup is consolidated into a board in a consolidating press under heat and pressure with the coated top surface in direct contact with a press platen.

  • Publication number: 20220193945
Abstract: A method of can be used to make a wood composite material. The method includes forming a panel having wood fibers and additives, sanding a main surface of the panel, applying a polymer to the sanded main surface of the panel, and curing the polymer by irradiating the main surface of the panel. After the curing, the main surface has a solid discontinuous composite including a mixture of the wood fibers and cured polymer micro-islands.

  • Publication number: 20030113571
Abstract: A method for fabricating a wood panel assembly comprising the acts of providing a steam-treated wood panel assembly comprising two faces and a core submitting the steam-treated wood panel assembly to an elevated pressure under an elevated temperature so as to decrease its thickness is described herein. Also described herein is a wood panel assembly having a high strength and a high resistance to swelling under moisture. The assembly comprises two faces, each of the faces having an outer surface; and a core provided between the two faces. The wood panel assembly, after a steam-treatment, is submitted to a high pressure under an elevated temperature to yield the high strength and high resistance to swelling under moisture properties.

  • Patent number: 6333097
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a method for obtaining a wood panel, preferably an OSB panel, with significantly reduced thickness swelling properties when exposed to or contacted with moisture or water. The novel dimensionally stable panels are obtained by an alternate vacuum—steam injection method. The method is an after-fabrication, or post-treatment method, and involves one or more cycles of applying a vacuum followed by injection of hot steam in a sealed treatment chamber.
