  • Patent number: 9339246
Abstract: A method for directing image data to a dental treatment site wherein a sensor controller is positioned near a programmed radio-frequency identification device at the dental treatment site. A command entry configures the sensor controller to encode and transmit image data content for delivery to a receiving address, according to information obtained from the radio-frequency identification device. A digital sensor that is associated with the sensor controller is positioned in proximity to a subject. Image data is acquired from the digital sensor and transmitted from the sensor controller to a wireless access point, and from the wireless access point to a host computer at the receiving address. The acquired transmitted image data is stored in a computer-accessible electronic memory.

  • Publication number: 20080048064
Abstract: A system and a method discriminates a roll placed in a paper roll dispenser, as well as a paper roll with a core having at least one passive electrically conductive element, to be used in conjunction with the dispenser. The system includes a probe sensitive to a presence of an electrically conductive element in proximity thereof, the probe being located within the paper roll dispenser such that when the roll is positioned within the dispenser, the probe is in proximity of the roll. The system also includes an application for applying an input signal to the probe, a detector for detecting an output signal from the probe, the output signal being indicative of a presence of the electrically conductive element proximate the probe, and a discriminator for discriminating the paper roll based on a value of the output signal detected by the detector.

  • Publication number: 20050011987
Abstract: The invention comprises a system and a method for discriminating a roll placed in a paper roll dispenser, as well as a paper roll with a core comprising at least one passive element having an electrical conductivity different from that of the core, to be used in conjunction with the dispenser. The system comprises at least two conducting plates located within the paper roll dispenser such that when the roll is positioned within the dispenser, the plates are in proximity of the roll, the plates being electrically insulated from each other, means for detecting capacitance between the plates and generating a signal indicative of said capacitance and means for discriminatng said paper roll based on a value of the signal.

  • Patent number: 6193036
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus comprising a piston fixed by circumferential tabs (26) to a transverse wall (11), the piston (20) or the wall (11) having through holes for fixing the tabs (26), said holes being finally closed by shutters. The invention is applicable to motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 6038211
Abstract: A terminal for a bidirectional synchronous digital hierarchy link with automatic protection switching conveying multiplexed data includes two send devices. Each send device includes a device for extracting from each of the two SDH multiplexes a signal indicating a far end remote failure. It further includes a device for receiving two SDH multiplexes and multiplexing them with service data specific to the link with automatic protection switching into a single multiplex to be sent over a first line. It inserts into this service data the two far end remote failure signals and two additional far end remote failure signals, these two additional signals being supplied by the other send device. The terminal further includes an automatic protection switch for transmitting to the first line one of the two multiplexes supplied by the respective send devices. Applications include underwater links.

  • Patent number: 5855267
Abstract: A clutch module (100) includes a cover plate (12), a diaphragm (14), a pressure plate (16), a friction disc (18) and a reaction plate (20) mounted on a support plate (22) and fixed to the cover plate (12), the cover plate (12) includes a set of fastening lugs (66) which extend axially from a peripheral edge (58) of the cover plate (12, 56), and each of which passes axially through a corresponding axially orientated passage (68, 168) formed at the periphery (70) of one of the support plate (22) and the reaction plate (20), so as to extend axially beyond (90) the radial face (72, 172) of the element and so as to be retained axially with respect to the reaction plate (20) or support plate (22).

  • Patent number: 5167322
Abstract: A package roll of paper or other sheet material comprised of a cylinder core about which paper is wound into a roll. A wrapper is wrapped around the roll of paper. An inside header is secured over the end walls of the roll by the overhang portions of the wrapper which is crimped over a peripheral outer edge portion of the header positioned thereon. The inside header has a base wall of substantially the same diameter as the roll and disposed over the end walls. The overhang edge portions are crimped about the outer peripheral edge portion of an outer face of the base wall. A support disc of smaller predetermined surface area, relative to the diameter of the roll, is secured to the outer face of the base wall to support the roll when positioned on one of its ends and to relieve pressure from outer end edges of the roll of paper. An outside header is secured over the support disc and crimped edge portions of the wrapper.
