Abstract: A fluid composition is provided in the form of a wax dispersion in a liquid vehicle which is comprised of a single phase. The dispersed phase is a stable microdispersion comprised of particles having a size lower than 0.5 .mu.m. The particles are constituted essentially of a mixture of at least one wax, at least one emulsifying agent and optionally at least one oil and/or at least one liposoluble active ingredient. This mixture has a end melting point greater than 50.degree. C. and lower than 100.degree. C. The composition contains, by weight, from 0.1 to 40% of wax and from 0.01 to 25% of emulsifying agent. The emulsifying agent is a cationic emulsifier. The concentration of oil, when it is present, is less than or equal to 30 weight percent relative to the weight of the wax or mixture of waxes.

Abstract: A composite melanin pigment in the form of particles comprising a spherical core less than 1 .mu.m in diameter, which comprises at least one wax and at least one surfactant, and an outer layer which envelops the core, which comprises at least one compound resulting from the oxidative polymerization of a melanin pigment precursor; and uses of the pigment in powder form or in the form of an aqueous dispersion, in cosmetic compositions, in particular in dye products and/or make-up products and/or care products for keratin substances such as the skin, the hair and the nails.

Abstract: Novel photoprotective/cosmetic photocoloration-resistant compositions, well suited for the photoprotection of human skin and/or hair, comprise an effective UV-screening amount of at least one titanium dioxide nanopigment and an effective photobluing-reducing amount of at least one ionic amphiphilic lipid which comprises an acylamino acid, in a cosmetically acceptable vehicle therefor.

Abstract: Process for obtaining submicronic particles, for example, pigments in the presence of lipidic vesicles having a lamellar structure, starting with at least one precursor of said particles involves preparing a dispersion of vesicles starting with at least one lipid capable of forming the walls of the vesicles and an aqueous phase E intended to be encapsulated in the said vesicles, and optionally an aqueous phase D, intended to form a dispersion medium of the said vesicles, at least one precursor of the said vesicles being dissolved in phase E and/or D, before and/or during and/or after the preparation of the vesicular phase, at least one agent capable of transforming the said precursor(s) into sought after particles being reacted with it (them) after introduction into the preparation medium.

Abstract: A cosmetic composition for the hair contains a wax dispersion in a liquid vehicle. The dispersed phase is a stable microdispersion of particles of wax having a size lower than 500 nm and an end melting point greater than 60.degree. C. and lower than 100.degree. C. The composition contains from 0.1 to 40 weight percent wax, form 0.01 to 25 weight percent anionic or nonionic emulsifier and at least 35 weight percent water. The composition does not contain a cationic surfactant.

Abstract: The invention concerns the use of an active quantity of nicotinamide adenosine dinucleotide (NAD) and/or its phosphate ester (NADP) by topical application. The NAD and/or the NADP can advantageously be encapsulated in vesicles of lamellar lipidic structure. This composition is usable for the protection of the skin against solar irradiation.
