  • Publication number: 20200339203
Abstract: A track system for traction of a vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle such as a compact track loader). The track system comprises a track comprising a ground-engaging outer side for engaging the ground and an inner side opposite to the ground-engaging outer side. The track system comprises a track-engaging arrangement for driving and guiding the track around the track-engaging arrangement. The track-engaging arrangement comprises a drive wheel for driving the track and a plurality of roller wheels for rolling on the inner side of the track along a bottom run of the track. The track system comprises a frame for supporting components of the track system, including the roller wheels. The frame may be configured to avoid constraining the roller wheels, which may allow the roller wheels to be wider and better distributed loading onto the track. A rolling contact interface between a roller wheel and the inner side of the track may be nonparallel to a widthwise direction of the track.

  • Publication number: 20200296876
Abstract: An auxiliary track device for movement of a vehicle. The auxiliary track device may enhance traction and/or floatation of the vehicle, such as, for example, by being installable on the vehicle to convert the vehicle into a tracked one and/or by being deployable to engage the ground in certain situations, including where additional traction and/or floatation may be desirable based on an environment of the vehicle such as one or more characteristics of the ground (e.g., a compliance, such as a softness or hardness, a slipperiness, a soil compatibility, and/or a profile of the ground), a state of the vehicle (e.g., a speed of the vehicle, loading carried by the vehicle, etc.), a user's preferences (e.g., ride quality, etc.), and/or any other suitable factor. The auxiliary track device may be used only for traction and/or floatation of the vehicle or may be part of an implement to perform work with the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20200292575
Abstract: There is described a method for testing equipment using a test box unit and a mate-in interface having a unique mate-in interface ID, the equipment comprising a plurality of contacts. The method comprises connecting a mate-in interface to the test box unit, connecting the mate-in interface to the contacts of the equipment; selecting a mate-in interface for testing using the unique mate-in interface ID; in the mate-in interface as selected, selecting any one of the contacts for testing; and testing the any one of the contacts of the selected mate-in interface to ground and against each other one of the contacts by inputting a signal and measuring the signal through the selected mate-in interface. There can then be automatically created a list of connections for the equipment making use of the detected or otherwise obtained unique mate-in interface ID.

  • Patent number: 10730572
Abstract: An endless track for traction of an off-road vehicle, such as an agricultural vehicle, an industrial vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle) or a military vehicle, is provided. The endless track comprises an elastomeric belt-shaped body comprising an inner surface for facing wheels of the vehicle and a ground-engaging outer surface for engaging the ground. The endless track also comprises a plurality of elastomeric lugs, such as drive/guide lugs projecting from the inner surface and/or traction lugs projecting from the ground-engaging outer surface. An elastomeric lug may have a material composition defining an arrangement of zones of different materials which comprises a plurality of zones of different elastomeric materials. The elastomeric lug may exhibit a desired variation of a material property (e.g., a modulus of elasticity) across the arrangement of zones of different materials. A zone of the elastomeric lug may have a dedicated function, such as a sacrificial zone or a wear indicator zone.

  • Patent number: 10705135
Abstract: A method for assembling a connectorized electrical equipment comprises a connectivity list required for the connectorized electrical equipment, comprising an origin connector and its identifier; a destination electrical equipment subpart and its identifier thereof; and a list of connections between the origin connector and the destination electrical equipment subpart. By querying a database comprising a library of connectors, a construction plan is generated for the connectorized electrical equipment. The construction plan includes diagrams for assembly, images to assist the assembler, a list of material for managing inventory and instructions. An ATE can be connected to the connectorized electrical equipment to be assembled. Based on the construction plan, instructions are provided for a connection between the origin connector and the destination electrical equipment subpart. Connections can be made manually or using the ATE.

  • Patent number: 10697999
Abstract: The present document describes an assembly for connecting a test unit to a wiring harness or equipment to be tested, and a method for testing using the assembly. The assembly may comprise a test box unit, a generic mate-in interface, and at least one specific mate-in interface. The generic mate-in interface is for connection to the test box unit on one end, and to the at least one specific mate-in interfaces at the other end. The mate-in interfaces are for testing different existing wiring harnesses or equipment. Each one of the generic and specific mate-in interfaces has a specific ID comprised in an ID support on the electrical path of the generic mate-in interface and the specific mate-in interface, for example, on any one of the end connectors of the interfaces or on their wiring. Information relating to the IDs of the connectors and the contact configuration of each mate-in interface is stored in a database of the test unit for identifying the appropriate test contacts that should be used for testing.

  • Publication number: 20190103037
Abstract: There is described a method for assembling or repairing a connectorized electrical equipment in an environment. The method comprises connecting an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to an origin connector of the connectorized electrical equipment to be assembled or repaired, for tracking connections. A connection between the origin connector and a destination electrical component is identified using the ATE and sent to a computing device. The computing device compares the connection identified by the ATE with a connectivity list required for the connectorized electrical equipment to determine a next step of the assembling or the repairing which depends on the connection identified by the ATE. A visual aid representative of the next step is generated and outputted to an apparatus which provides, to a user, the visual aid superimposed with the environment or in a virtual environment. A plurality of workers can receive a personalized visual aid on their own apparatus.
