  • Patent number: 11794397
Abstract: In one example embodiment, disclosed is a biaxially oriented multilayer film, which may include a first tie layer and a second tie layer, wherein each has an inside surface and an outside surface. The film's core layer may consist of: (i) at least 50 wt. % high-crystalline polypropylene; (ii) both cyclic olefin copolymer and polypropylene homopolymer, or, polypropylene heterophasic copolymer; (iii) and, optionally, additives, wherein the core layer is between the inside surface of the first tie layer and the inside surface of the second tie layer. The film may also include a first skin layer on the outside surface of the first tie layer and a second skin layer on the outside surface of the second tie layer, wherein shrinkage is less than 3.5% in a transverse direction for the biaxially oriented multilayer film after subjecting the biaxially oriented multilayer film to 135° C. for 7 min at 1 atm.

  • Patent number: 11718079
Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for multilayer films, which, in one embodiment may comprise a core layer comprising at least 50 wt. % of high-density polyethylene. Further, the multilayer film may include a first skin layer comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of low-density polyethylene, optionally linear, and at least about 80 wt. % of high-density polyethylene, as well as a second skin layer comprising either: (i) one or more low-density polyethylenes, any or all of them optionally being linear; or (ii) one or more polypropylene-based copolymers. The multilayer film may be oriented in at least one direction.

  • Publication number: 20060124210
Abstract: The annealing process of a stainless steel band includes the following steps, in any order: Heating the stainless steel band under reducing atmosphere; Cooling the stainless steel band; and Printing on the surface a roughness onto said stainless steel band. The invention also relates to an annealing device for implementing the method. The annealing device includes a heating mechanism under reducing atmosphere for the stainless steel band, a cooling mechanism for the stainless steel band, and a printing mechanism, on the surface, for a roughness onto the stainless steel band.
