  • Patent number: 6766597
Abstract: The ice spike for mountaineering is composed of a front frame and a rear frame joined to one another by a joining strip which comprises two parallel rows of holes spaced at regular intervals. Lengthwise adjustment of the ice spike is performed by the joining strip and a stud designed to be inserted in one of the holes of one of the two rows of the joining strip. The holes of the second row are offset longitudinally with respect to those of the first row, this enabling the length of the spike to be adjusted by one shoe size or by half a shoe size.

  • Patent number: 6402963
Abstract: A draining wall includes a plurality of panels filled with a granular filtering material and separated from each other by intermediate elements cast in the ground, a member, embedded in the lower part of each intermediate element, enabling communication to be established between the panels of each pair of adjacent panels, and auxiliary devices applied into contact with the end faces of the intermediate elements so as to cover the mouth of the communication-enabling members. Each auxiliary device is open on the side applied against the intermediate element, has a height greater than the diameter of the mouth, delimits a volume around the mouth, and has either perforations over at least a part of its surface whose size is smaller than that of the granules constituting the filtering material or an opening to which a perforated pipe acting as a receiver is connected.

  • Patent number: 6005510
Abstract: The invention relates to the processing of the multiple paths in an interrogator station which, in response to a salvo of interrogations, receives responses in the form of pulses. The station comprises at least two reception channels. The responses to each interrogation of one and the same salvo are classified by order of appearance. A value of dispersion of the energies is estimated, for each channel and each salvo, on the responses having the same classification. Since the first classified response is, by assumption, considered to have arrived by a direct path, the following responses will be eliminated, on the grounds that they have been received after passing through multiple paths, if their values of dispersion of energy on the two paths are not equivalent to those of the first response.

  • Patent number: 5791025
Abstract: A snap-hook comprises a pivoting finger with a rotary locking ring cooperating with a locking bolt. This bolt has an operating component designed to cooperate alternately with a hole or a notch arranged in the locking ring with a preset angular offset, respectively in the first locked position to perform said positive locking of the ring in rotation when the operating component is inserted in the hole, and in a second unlocked position with formation of an internal link with a hang-up between the ring and finger when the operating component engages in the notch, moving from the second unlocked position to the first locked position being performed manually by a rotational movement of the ring causing the hang-up to be released at the beginning of travel following the reaction of the ring on the operating component, and insertion of the operating component in the hole at the end of travel for positive locking of the ring in rotation.
