  • Publication number: 20200378251
Abstract: A liquid sampler for use in sampling the liquid in a well. The sampler has a tube for containing the sample and an inlet at the bottom and an outlet at the top. An inlet check valve is located at the inlet which has a door configured autonomously to move between open and closed configurations in response to fluid flow through the inlet. In the open configuration, the door is aligned with the axis of the tube to allow fluid to flow into the tube through the inlet from below, and in the closed configuration, the door is positioned transverse to the axis of the tube to block fluid flow from the tube out through the inlet thereby retaining fluid within the tube as the sampler is raised up.

  • Publication number: 20150083709
Abstract: A heating panel system for producing heat, comprises a heating panel comprising a layer of heating textile, the heating textile layer being made of a non-woven three-dimensional network of non-woven non-electrically conductive synthetic fibers and electrically conductive strands of synthetic fibers or fine metal wires consolidated therewith. A shapeable structural layer laminated to the heating textile layer. Electrodes are conductively secured to the heating textile layer at opposite ends, the wires being adapted to be connected to a power source to form a circuit with the panel of heating circuit to circulate electric power within the heating textile layer. A method for thermo-shaping the panel is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20040192145
Abstract: A non-woven sheet material for use in building construction and having acoustical thermal and waterproof properties is described. The sheet material comprises a non-woven felt having a polymeric film secured over a surface thereof. The polymeric film has an outer aluminized reflective surface coating adhered thereto. The sheet material has a weight density in the range of from about 30 to 1500 g/m2 and a homogeneous mechanical integrity resistance to fragmentation by the application of traction forces applied thereto during its intended use. The sheet material is capable of being used with the outer aluminum reflective surface facing upwardly or downwardly of an enclosure space to provide acoustical and/or thermal insulation to the space and to provide an impervious barrier.

  • Patent number: 6514889
Abstract: A non-woven synthetic sheet material for use in sound insulation and/or thermal insulation is described. The sheet material is a felt or mat of substantially uniform synthetic fiber thickness and defines opposed flat surfaces. The sheet material is needle-punched from at least one of the opposed flat surfaces thereof to cause the synthetic fibers to intertwine to form a pliable sound and/or thermal insulating sheet. The insulating sheet has a density in the range of from about 100 to 1500 g/m2 and a homogeneous integrity resistant to fragmentation. Preferably a polymeric film is interconnected to a surface of the synthetic fiber sheet by a further needle punch step the polymeric film is preferably a metalized polyethylene film. The material has a multitude of uses in the construction industry. The felt may also be provided in strip form for use in the framing of wooden structures to sound insulate interconnected parts.

  • Patent number: 4996776
Abstract: The invention provides a method and device for determining the heading with wind (or with current) of an air (or sea-going) vehicle. The device of the invention comprises a support element with two coaxial compass cards, one of which is assigned to the heading without wind and the other serves as indication of the heading with wind, as well as a plurality of rings which may be mounted for rotation coaxially with said compass cards and in the coronal space therebetween. Each of the rings corresponds to a particular situation of the aircraft determined by a wind speed/aircraft speed ratio and has a pointer intended to be oriented along the wind bearing. A series of lines ensures the correspondence between the compass cards.

  • Patent number: 4941264
Abstract: A device is provided for directly reading from a chart the heading to be followed by an air or sea-going vehicle, comprising a disk with, at its periphery, a circular coaxial graduation of the "compass card" type movable in rotation with respect to this disk, the latter being itself mounted for rotation about a fixed shaft fast with a support, via a rotary mount with offset adjustable in modulus and orientation. The disk further comprises a rectilinear scale for determining the modulus of the offset, as well as a reference mark for indicating the orientation of this offset on the circular graduation. The scale is graduated in successive values representative of the wind (or current) speed/proper speed of the vehicle ratio.

  • Patent number: 4584604
Abstract: Process and apparatus for the display of relief moving pictures. The displayed image is formed behind a lenticular frame having vertical cylindrical lenses and its spacing exceeds that of the frame. The picture is obtained either by a screen attached to the frame, or by projecting the picture from a separate screen. The apparatus has useful application in visiophony, television, simulation, etc.

  • Patent number: 4533943
Abstract: A videocommunication network is connected between videophone terminals and a picture bank through voice switching units and wide-band switching units included in central offices. A purely telephonic communication can be established between two videophone terminals during a videocommunication between one of the two terminals and the picture bank. Once the videocommunication has been established between the videophone terminal and the picture bank via network voice switching units, the local telephone line assigned to the videophone terminal is automatically released while only a local wide-band line assigned to the videophone terminal is occupied for exchanging vision signals and also data signals with the picture bank via wide-band switching units.
