  • Patent number: 7281631
Abstract: The cell includes an enclosure having, at the top, a main inlet for the pulp to be de-inked and, at the bottom, a main outlet for the de-inked pulp. The pulp from the top to the bottom, passes through successive stages provided with bubble passageways introduced into the lower portion of the enclosure, and the bubbles rise to the top, to form a foam. The cell includes pulp a guiding mechanism forming a guiding path and in which the bubble passageways are provided for. The guiding mechanisms are, on their lower face, inclined upwards in order to guide the bubbles towards the bubble passageways.

  • Publication number: 20040232053
Abstract: The cell comprises an enclosure (2) including, at the top, a main inlet (3) for the pulp to be de-inked and, at the bottom, a main outlet (4) for the de-inked pulp. The pulp from the top to the bottom, passing through successive stages (E1, . . . En) provided with bubble passageways (13) introduced into the lower portion of the enclosure, the bubbles raising until the top, to form a foam (5). The cell includes pulp guiding means (12) forming guiding path and in which the bubble passageways (13) are provided for, these guiding means (12) being, on their lower face, inclined upwards in order to guide the bubbles (14) towards the bubble passageways.

  • Patent number: 6679384
Abstract: Process for the filtration of paper pulp with a device that comprises a rotor and a stator; one of the two, filter (1), has perforations of slot or hole types, and the other, the backwashing element, includes means that are intended to generate pressure pulses that consist in combatting the gradual clogging of the perforations of the filter and the gradual flocculation of the pulp during the creep of the pulp between the rotor and the stator by creating deflocculation zones and/or increasing the relative speed between the pulp and the backwashing elements.

  • Patent number: 6338412
Abstract: Cylindrical screen, particularly for paper pulp, of the type comprising at least one filtering element (10) positioned between two flanges (1, 2) by means of a number of bars (3). The filtering element is composed by wires (10) placed side by side and held by rings (11). This filtering element is rigid in the axial direction and is placed upstream from the above mentioned bars (3), in relation to the direction of flow of the pulp. The filtering element is held against the bars (3) through the rings (11) that are in contact with the bars without being attached to them, so as to maintain its shape by withstanding the pressure exerted by the pulp.

  • Patent number: 6197153
Abstract: The method for de-inking paper pulp produced by the reduction to pulp, with water, of old papers of various qualities according to which a stream of air bubbles (C) is sent through the flow (E2, S2, E3, S3) of pulp at least once, is characterized by the fact that a countercurrent of water (E1) is sent into the stream of de-inking air bubbles after said bubbles have passed through the pulp and become laden with ink particles so that the countercurrent releases the particles (fibers, fines, fillers) borne along by these de-inking bubbles and carries them away.

  • Patent number: 5979665
Abstract: Equipment for deinking paper pulp, wherein the batch of pulp to be deinked is made to circulate to move from top to bottom whereas the air bubbles are introduced at least in the lower part and move from bottom to top, characterized in that the pulp descends from top to bottom while being recycled in several consecutive and superposed stages.

  • Patent number: 5735472
Abstract: Method for separating paper fibers and contaminants for mixtures containing water, fibers, contaminants, paper or cardboard pellets, wherein the mixture is subjected firstly to a screening, secondly to a mashing and then thirdly to a further screening with addition of water, subsequent to which the pulp retained by the screen is evacuated.

  • Patent number: 5697503
Abstract: Sieve with slots or holes, made from a U-shaped section, constituted by a stack of identical circles, each circle (1, 1') being made from a tapered U-shaped section of which the two ends are welded or mechanically connected to one another, characterized in that this stack of circles (1, 1') is maintained tightly between two rings (2-3, 2-'3') by a plurality of tie rods (4, 4') and in that the lateral walls of the circles in the stack rest on one another without any further fastening together, so that the walls of the sections can undergo elastic deformation under the effects of the tightening.

  • Patent number: 5131544
Abstract: A device for separating particles in a liquid in which a paper suspension to be cleaned and supplied to a chamber of revolution (1) rotating about an axis (2). Movable deviators (7, 8) precede the fixed outlets (9, 10) to intercept most of the through-put of the suspension in the region of the periphery of the chamber (1), then deviate it towards the longitudinal axis of rotation (2) so as to recover most of the kinetic energy of rotation. The outlets (7, 8, 9, 10) are situated at the opposite end to that of chamber (1) from the supply (5, 6) and are arranged at the periphery of this chamber (1). A diabolo-shaped central body of revolution (11) is arranged inside the chamber, along the longitudinal axis of rotation (2) for rotation about its axis and with a radial run-off (12) in the vicinity of its smallest cross-section connected to an axial outlet duct (13).
