  • Patent number: 8402997
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a valve with a pivoting lever. This lever pivots around a pivot point and can move between at least three stable positions. In the rest position, this lever is fixed and solidly connected to the body of the valve, and there is zero fluid flow in the internal fluid passage. In the intermediary released position, the axis of the lever is disposed at a positive, non-zero angle in relation to the axis of the lever in the rest position, the lever being now disconnected from the body, but the fluid flow remains zero. In the active position, the axis of the lever is disposed at a positive non-zero angle in relation to the axis of the lever in the intermediary released position, this lever being disconnected from the body, and with fluid now flowing thorough the internal fluid passage at a non-zero rate.

  • Patent number: 8061682
Abstract: A valve for controlling the flow of a pressurized fluid, in particular a medical or industrial gas, a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a internal fluid passage that connects them. A valve for controlling the fluid flow can prevent the circulation of a fluid in this passage, and an actuator utilizing a pivoting lever can be manually actuated by an operator. This lever pivots around a pivot point and can move between at least three stable, angularly staggered positions including a rest position where there is zero fluid flow in the internal fluid passage a intermediary released position where the fluid flow remains zero and an active position with fluid flowing thorough the internal fluid passage at a non-zero rate.

  • Patent number: 8056580
Abstract: A valve to control the flow of pressurized fluids, such as medical or industrial gases, consists of a body with an internal fluid distribution circuit, comprising a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a internal fluid passage connecting them. Fluid flow can be controlled by an operator manually actuating a lever. This lever can move between at least three stable positions that are angularly staggered in relation to each other. In the rest position, the lever is fixed and solidly connected to the body of the valve, and there is zero fluid flow in the internal fluid passage. In the intermediary released position, the lever is disconnected from the body, but the fluid flow remains zero. In the active position, the lever is disconnected from the body, and fluid flows thorough the internal fluid passage at a non-zero rate. Application also to gas cylinders equipped with such valves.

  • Publication number: 20100155405
Abstract: A valve is provided to control the flow of a pressurized fluid, in particular a medical or industrial gas. The inventive valve consists of a body with an internal fluid distribution circuit, within this internal fluid distribution circuit are a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a internal fluid passage that connects them. There is a means for controlling the fluid flow that can prevent the circulation of a fluid in this passage, and a handling means utilizing a pivoting lever that can be manually actuated by an operator. This lever pivots around a pivot point and can move between at least three stable positions that are angularly staggered in relation to each other. In the rest position, this lever is fixed and solidly connected to the body of the valve, and there is zero fluid flow in the internal fluid passage.

  • Publication number: 20040231729
Abstract: The invention relates to a cock that is used to control the flow of a pressurised fluid, in particular a medical or industrial gas. The inventive cock consists of: a body (1) with an internal fluid distribution circuit (3, 31, 32) comprising an internal fluid passage which fluidically connects a fluid inlet (31) with a fluid outlet (32); means for controlling the fluid flow (4) that can be used to enable or prevent the circulation of fluid in said passage (3); and handling means which are provided with a pivoting lever that is actuated manually by an operator and which co-operate, directly or indirectly, with the fluid flow control means (4). The pin lever (2) (YY) pivots around a pivot point (XX) and can move between at least three stable positions which are angularly staggered in relation to each other. In the rest position, said lever (2) is fixed and solidly connected to the body (1) of the cock and there is zero fluid flow in the internal passage.

  • Patent number: 6311722
Abstract: The invention relates to an open-type protective cowling for a fluid container, particularly for a gas cylinder, made up of a cowling body (1) made of polymer comprising an insert (2) made of metal or metal alloy with a tapping (10). As a preference, the insert (2) is essentially in the shape of a ring with a tapped internal wall and the cowling body (1) is overmolded around the tapped insert (2). In addition, the insert (2) may have one or more recesses (7) and/or one or more strengtheners (6) on its external peripheral wall. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a gas cylinder equipped with such a protective cowling, and to the method for manufacturing such a protective cowling.
