    Abstract: A transmission shaft, of a mower having one or more rotatable organs and gears, for transmitting rotation of the shaft to the gears. The shaft has a portion that is associated with the gears, and another portion that is not associated with the gears. The other portion has a transverse cross section within a shape that corresponds to that of the one portion end with a dimension smaller than that of the one portion. The reduced dimension of the other portion can be carried out by chemical action, such as by an acid attack.
