Abstract: Bagel products are formed by (a) mixing flour and water together with yeast to form a sourdough; (b) preparing an activated malt extract by mixing barley malt extract, a second amount of yeast, and water; (c) mixing the sourdough, the activated malt extract, and salt with flour to form a final dough; forming bagel shapes from the final dough; (d) fermenting the shapes for at least 30 minutes at around room temperature, and then further fermenting and storing the shapes for at least 10 hours under refrigeration at a temperature of from about +2° C. to about +8° C.; (f) boiling the shapes one side at a time or, in an initial baking step, baking the shapes in a steam environment; (g) baking, in a final baking step after the boiling or initial baking step, the formed bagel shapes; and, optionally, (h) freezing the baked bagel shapes.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for projecting reference aids at sites characterized by continuous activity over periods which long enough to encompass both full daylight and artificial light only ambient lighting conditions. Variations in ambient light intensity are detected over the course of the activity period, and at least one laser projection system is operated responsive to the detecting to project a line which is visible continuously throughout the site activity period. The projected line serves as a reference aid for guiding operation of vehicles and equipment as they approach or depart a particular processing station of the site.

In one embodiment, credentials are distributed to the individuals electronically, via communication network, to respective portable device having a corresponding display. Electronic credential passes are distributed to invitees of an events such as a sporting event, a concert, a large social gathering, or filming of a movie or TV show. Each reusable pass is operative to display an image containing indicia representative of an event descriptor and an access level descriptor, whereby one can quickly and easily ascertain whether an individual seeking access to a particular area, during an event, is in fact authorized to do so. Optionally, the image displayed by each reusable pass can further include a photo of the bearer, a UPC bar code, and one or more logos corresponding to event sponsors.
