Abstract: Shared filesystem metadata caching is disclosed. For example, a system includes a guest with a storage controller (SC) and a metadata cache on a host with a filesystem daemon (FSD), and a host memory storing a registration table (RT). The SC receives a first metadata request associated with a file stored in the host memory. A first version identifier (VID) of metadata associated with the file is retrieved from the metadata cache and validated against a corresponding second VID in the RT. Upon determining the first VID matches the second VID, the SC responds to the first metadata request based on the metadata. Upon determining the first VID fails to match the second VID, the SC requests the FSD to update the metadata. The first VID is updated to match the second VID and the SC responds to the first metadata request based on the updated metadata.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a computer-based system and/or method which automatically, e.g. with minimal, or entirely without, human intervention, identifies, distinguishes, disambiguates or otherwise differentiates among multiple configurable bicycles based on the data reported to the system from the bicycle's data-reporting components, such that the data reported by those components may be associated with a particular bicycle for real-time and/or later review, analysis, etc. More particularly, where one or more data reporting components of a bicycle may change, the disclosed embodiments enable a data gathering system/service to identify, distinguish, disambiguate or otherwise differentiate among multiple bicycles which may use, or have used, one or more of the same components so as to associate the reported data, such as from a particular ride, with the correct bicycle configuration for real-time and/or later review and/or analysis.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a method of using a biomass extraction and centrifugation system to extract and centrifuge biomass. In some embodiments, the method comprises loading a first portion of biomass into a vessel and loading a first portion of solvent into the vessel, and holding the first portion of biomass and the first portion of solvent in the vessel for a predetermined amount of time, whereby the first portion of biomass and the first portion of solvent define a first slurry of a first cycle. Accordingly, in some embodiments, the method comprises extracting at least a portion of a biomass extraction from the first slurry, and separating, via a centrifuge, the first slurry into a first extract discharge and a first waste discharge.

Abstract: A diffuser-deswirler for a gas turbine engine is provided. The diffuser-deswirler includes an inner shell and an outer shell spaced apart and configured for receiving a flow of compressed air from a compressor of a gas turbine engine. A plurality of vanes extend between the inner shell and the outer shell to define a plurality of fluid passageways and a splitter extends along the circumferential direction between adjacent vanes to split the flow of compressed air passing through the each fluid passageway. All of these components are manufactured as a single monolithic piece and are configured for diffusing and deswirling compressor air before passing it to a combustor for an improved combustion process.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling electrical loads in one or more areas. The system includes a room controller having a microprocessor for accessing data and providing commands, memory for storing information operably connected to the microprocessor, a relay for powering a load based on commands from the microprocessor, and a port for connecting a peripheral device. The system also includes a peripheral device connected to the port and configured to send data including a device type and a device instance byte to the controller indicating the type of peripheral device. The device instance byte includes a port number identifying the port and a slot number identifying a time slot within a time domain multiplexing cycle. The system also includes a load connected to the relay.

Abstract: A method is provided for sterile packaging of a Kirschner wire (K-wire) and cap for shipping and storage, such that the K-wire and cap may be removed from the sterile packaging and used during a surgery. The method comprises sterile packaging the K-wire into a first container, sterile packaging the cap into a second container, and then bundling the first and second containers into a third container. In some embodiments, the first container may be comprised of a sterile interior environment within a double tube container, and the second container may be comprised of peel pouch configured to be unsealed during the surgery. In some embodiments, the K-wire and the cap may be placed together onto a mounting card that is then sterile packaged into a peel pouch that may be unsealed during the surgery.

Abstract: The flexibility of a communication with a chatbot can be increased using a chatbot platform that can be integrated with a plurality of chat channels as well as facilitate communication between users of different chat channels. The platform can host chatbots that can leverage a plurality of resources, including internal and external natural language processors, machine learning, analytics services, and third party services to generate a response to user communications and take actions on behalf of the user. The use of the natural language processing and other additional information allows to generate an appropriate response to user queries, and to thus increase the speed with which user concerns are address. Further, the platform includes a chatbot creation program that allows a quick way to create a large number of customized chatbots without requiring advanced programming skills from the chatbot creator.

Abstract: An unloading system for use in a storage structure having a sidewall that contains granular stored material. A reclaiming portion is spaced from the sidewall and has a floor portion that extends from a discharge opening toward the sidewall. The floor portion of the reclaiming portion is supported above the floor of the storage structure. The reclaiming portion may move with respect to the sidewall and is isolated from movement with respect to the sidewall of the storage structure. Seals between the reclaiming portion and the sidewall prevent the stored material from bypassing the reclaiming portion so that any discharge of the stored material occurs through the discharge opening.

Abstract: A selectable clutch assembly for a multimode powertrain of a rotorcraft. The selectable clutch assembly includes a freewheeling unit having input and output sides. The freewheeling unit has a driving mode wherein torque applied to the input side is transferred to the output side and an over running mode wherein torque applied to the output side is not transferred to the input side. A bypass assembly is coupled to and rotatable with the output side of the freewheeling unit and is actuatable between engaged and disengaged positions with the input side of the freewheeling unit. In the disengaged position, the freewheeling unit is operable in the driving and the over running modes such that the selectable clutch assembly is configured for unidirectional torque transfer. In the engaged position, the over running mode of the freewheeling unit is disabled such that the selectable clutch assembly is configured for bidirectional torque transfer.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product obtains user data relating to a plurality of system users, who have previously been granted access to a resource in a context without complying with a ruleset defining criteria for automatically accessing the resource in the context. A combination of two or more user data properties having common values in user data of a subset of two or more of the plurality of system users is identified. A determination of whether the number of system users in the subset exceeds a predetermined threshold is made. If the number of system users in the subset exceeds the predetermined threshold, the ruleset is updated to include criteria based on the identified combination of two or more user data properties.

Abstract: A munition includes a munition body containing explosive material. An electronic subsystem is active between release and detonation of the explosive material. One or more batteries are electrically connected to the electronic subsystem to provide power to the electronic subsystem prior to detonation. The one or more batteries are positioned adjacent to the explosive material to be accelerated outward as corresponding munition projectiles after detonation, increasing the effective payload of the munition by performing dual functions. In one or more embodiments, the explosive material is cylindrically shaped and longitudinally aligned in a warhead section of the munition body. The one or more batteries are annularly positioned on lateral surface of the explosive surface to form a cellular fragmenting structure. In a particular embodiments, the munition body is a missile body containing a rocket propulsion system and the electronic subsystem comprises a missile guidance system.
