  • Patent number: 9275104
Abstract: A machine receives a description of the relationships among members of a data set. The machine constructs a graph that represents the relationships among the members of the data set, organizing the members of the data set into groups. The groups are analyzed to determine their relative strengths. Unbalanced groups can be balanced by splitting off heavy sub-trees that include too large a percentage of the nodes in the group. The machine can then use the graph to answer queries about members of the data set.

  • Patent number: 9274431
Abstract: A system for determining an alignment location associated with a pattern formed on a substrate is disclosed. Electrical measurements are made as the substrate is moved along an advancement direction. An alignment structure is formed on the substrate. The alignment structure has a first member extending along a first direction that is not parallel to the advancement direction and a second member extending along a second direction that is not parallel to either the advancement direction or to the first member. The first member and the second member are electrically conductive and substantially transparent. One or more probes are used to identify portions of the first and second members of the alignment structure and produce signals in response to relative motion between the substrate and the probes. A controller, responsive to signals produced by the probe, determines an alignment location associated with the pattern formed on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9276940
Abstract: A method, implemented by a router device, for guiding a user in establishing access privileges for a data exchanger includes causing the data exchanger to establish a remote link with a data service provider. Access content is obtained from the data service provider and presented to a client device. Access data provided in response to the presenting of the access content is received. The access content when presented by the client device enables a user to supply the access data. The access data is useable by the data service provider to set access privileges associated with the data exchanger that enable the data exchanger to be utilized to perform a desired function. The access data is returned to the data service provider via the remote link. The data exchanger is utilized to implement the desired function.

  • Patent number: 9277536
Abstract: A single receiver is operable to utilize full spectrum capture to capture signals over a wide spectrum comprising a plurality of WiFi frequency bands, extract one or more WiFi channels from said captured signals and aggregate a plurality of blocks of said WiFi channels to create one or more aggregated WiFi channels. The WiFi frequency bands include 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi frequency bands. A plurality of blocks of the WiFi channels may be aggregated from contiguous blocks of spectrum and/or non-contiguous blocks of spectrum in one or more of said plurality of WiFi frequency bands. One or more non-WiFi channels may be filtered out from the captured signals. One or more aggregated WiFi channels may be assigned to one or more WiFi enabled communication devices. At least a portion of the one or more aggregated WiFi channels may be dynamically assigned to one or more other WiFi enabled communication devices.

  • Patent number: 9277257
Abstract: An affinity mapping service system allowing a video service provider to perform one or more automatic actions related to a video content item (e.g., automatically recording the video content item, recommending similar video content, automatically tuning to a channel airing the video content item, providing a notification when the video content item is airing, etc.) based on an affinity selection made by a user for a content object related to the video content item is provided. The user is enabled to selectively pair a social networking service identifier (e.g., username, handle, etc.) with a video service account. An affinity selection made by the user via a social networking service in association with a video content item is communicated to the video service provider and mapped to an automatic action for the video service provider to take based on action preferences selected by the user.

  • Patent number: 9272376
Abstract: Superelastic and/or shape memory nickel-titanium alloys having an increased fatigue life that is superior to known nickel-titanium alloys are disclosed. The nickel-titanium alloys have a minimum fatigue life that may be at least about 10 million strain cycles at a strain greater than about 0.75%. The minimum fatigue life may be due, at least in part, to the nickel-titanium alloy having at least one of an oxygen concentration of less than about 200 ppm, a carbon concentration of less than about 200 ppm, the absence of oxide-based and/or carbide-based inclusions having a size greater than about 5 microns (?m), the presence of an R-phase, or combinations of the foregoing. Articles manufactured from such fatigue-resistant nickel-titanium alloys can be more durable because they are more resistant to repetitive strain and crack propagation.

Abstract: A pulse generator comprises a stator coupled to a housing and a rotor that is rotatably disposed within the housing. An annulus is formed between the rotor and the stator. An inner bore is formed through the rotor. One or more outer flow ports provide fluid communication between the annulus and the inner bore. A retrievable valve assembly is rotationally coupled to the rotor and at least partially disposed within the inner bore. The retrievable valve assembly includes a rotary valve member having one or more primary flow ports. A fluid flow path is periodically formed by the one or more outer flow ports, the annulus, and the one or more primary flow ports as the rotor rotates.
