    Abstract: A method for removing unwanted films from surfaces is described in which the unwanted film is first dissolved in a suitable composition, the properties of the composition then changes so that the dissolved, unwanted film no longer remains soluble in the composition and comes out of solution in a form that cannot redeposit on the surface, and finally, the excess composition and precipitated film components are removed from the surface.
