  • Publication number: 20240030532
Abstract: A power supply assembly for an e-vaping device may include a coupling interface configured to couple with a cartridge to configure the e-vaping device to generate a vapor, a light-emitting device, and a light tube structure extending from the light-emitting device and through the coupling interface. The light tube structure may channel light emitted by the light-emitting device to emit the light into a reservoir of the cartridge to cause at least one portion of the cartridge to emit at least a portion of the channeled light to an external environment.

  • Publication number: 20230384307
Abstract: The current invention relates to an improved method for detecting and/or measuring interaction between lymphocytes and target cells. In particular the current invention relates to a method for improved differentiation between lymphocytes and target cells that have formed (mature) immunological synapses and lymphocytes and target cells that have not, or only to a limited extend, formed such immunological synapses. The current invention can be used to discriminate between lymphocytes and target cells that specifically interact with each other, for example when the lymphocyte specifically interacts with an antigen presented on the target cell, and those that do not or only to a limited extend.

  • Patent number: 10188143
Abstract: Display packages include a packaging including a cavity for holding an item, and a trap seal card including a first opening. The trap seal card retains the packaging such that the item held within the cavity is visible to a consumer through the first opening, and a portion of the packaging protrudes through the first opening. The trap seal card includes a front panel integral with a back panel. The packaging is between the front panel and the back panel. Blanks for the trap seal card include the back panel or the front panel having a first length and a second length less than the first length. The first and second lengths extend in a perpendicular direction to a first fold line. Blanks for the display box include a tab detachable from a remaining portion of the back panel when the back panel is separated along a ninth fold line.

  • Patent number: 8323779
Abstract: A cleaning card for use in cleaning internal surfaces of a machine-reading mechanism includes a substrate having plurality of discrete raised areas in opposed surfaces thereof. The discrete raised areas each include a peak and a peripheral wall having an edge remote from the peak, and the peak of each raised area is farther from a central plane of the card than the edge of the peripheral wall remote from the peak. Relief means are provided in the substrate for preventing the peaks of at least some of the discrete raised areas from flattening toward the central plane to an extent that such peaks will not effectively engage and clean desired internal surfaces of a machine-reading mechanism when the cleaning card moves in the machine direction in other than a single, substantially linear plane.

  • Patent number: 8055838
Abstract: A partition manager includes an I/O reconfiguration mechanism and a logical partition suspend/resume mechanism that work together to perform autonomic I/O reconfiguration in a logically partitioned computer system. When I/O reconfiguration is required, the affected logical partitions are suspended, the I/O is reconfigured, and the affected logical partitions are resumed. Because the logical partitions are suspended during I/O reconfiguration, any ghost packet that may occur when the I/O is reconfigured is ignored.

  • Patent number: 7877471
Abstract: In a clustered computer system with multiple power domains, a bus number manager within each power domain manages multiple nodes independently of other power domains. A node within a specified power domain includes a non-volatile memory that includes bus numbering information for its own buses as well as bus numbering information for two of its logically-interconnected neighbors. This creates a distributed database of the interconnection topology for each power domain. Because a node contains bus numbering information about its logical neighbor node(s), the bus numbers for the buses in the nodes are made persistent across numerous different system reconfigurations. The clustered computer system also includes a bus number manager that reads the non-volatile memories in the nodes during initial program load (i.e.

  • Patent number: 7854445
Abstract: An equalizer for a suspension system for a trailer is configured to absorb or dampen the harsh shocks or vibrations coming off of the leaf springs proximate to a center frame hangar, thus allowing for a “softer” ride. The equalizer utilizes one or two independent equalizer arm assemblies or castings which are each rotatably secured within the equalizer. Each equalizer arm assembly or casting is operatively associated with one of the leaf springs such that upon upward movement of the leaf spring, the associated equalizer arm assembly or casting is forced to rotate within the equalizer and to deform a shock absorber provided within the equalizer. The shock absorber, upon the deformation thereof, absorbs the harsh shocks or vibrations which would otherwise normally be transferred from the leaf springs, to the equalizer, and thus to the frame of the trailer.

  • Patent number: 7846534
Abstract: A cleaning card for use in cleaning internal surfaces of machine components includes a substrate having a central plane between opposed surfaces thereof, a machine direction dimension defined between opposed end edges and a transverse direction dimension defined between opposed side edges. The substrate includes an embossment forming angled, substantially non-collapsible, elongate raised ridges on opposite sides of the cleaning card substrate, with the raised ridges being oriented at an angle to the machine direction for incrementally wiping transversely across the internal surfaces to be cleaned, which can include peripheral surfaces of idler rolls. Preferably the opposed surfaces of the substrate each have a plurality of discrete, raised and collapsible working areas for engaging and cleaning internal surfaces of machine components.

  • Patent number: 7732040
Abstract: A machine-actuating mechanism cleaning card includes a substrate having a central plane between opposed surfaces, a machine direction dimension between opposed end edges and a transverse direction dimension between opposed side edges. The opposed surfaces each have a plurality of discrete raised areas arranged in transversely extending rows. At least some of the discrete raised areas in at least some of the transversely extending rows extend outwardly on each side of the central plane. The discrete raised areas each include a peak and a peripheral wall joined at one edge to the peak and having an opposed edge that is closer to the central plane than the peak. The cleaning substrate has an effective thickness that is greater than the nominal thickness. Methods of making cleaning cards also are part of the invention.
