  • Patent number: 10505446
Abstract: Circuits, devices, and method for bypassing voltage regulation in voltage regulators. A voltage regulator may include a duty cycle component configured to determine whether a duty cycle of the voltage regulator is greater than a threshold duty cycle. The voltage regulator may also include a first sensing component configured to determine whether an output voltage of the voltage regulator is less than a first threshold voltage. The voltage regulator may further include a regulating component, coupled to the duty cycle component and the first sensing component, the regulating component configured to pass an input voltage to the output of the voltage regulator based on a first determination that the duty cycle is greater than the threshold duty cycle and a second determination that the output voltage of the voltage regulator is less than the first threshold voltage.

  • Patent number: 10414966
Abstract: A settable composition may be designed to thicken at substantially the same time downhole and/or set at substantially the same time downhole independent of when the settable composition was introduced into the wellbore by varying the concentration of set retarders and/or set accelerators during placement of settable compositions. For example, a method may include introducing a settable composition into a wellbore, the settable composition having an initial portion with a first concentration of a set-time additive, a middle portion with a second concentration of a set-time additive, and a final portion with a third concentration of a set-time additive; choosing the first and the third concentrations of the set-time additive so that the initial portion has a longer set-time than the final portion; and thickening the settable, wherein the initial and final portions thicken to exceed a consistency of about 70 Bc within about 3 hours of each other.

  • Patent number: 10399660
Abstract: A decompression panel assembly for use in an aircraft includes a frame including a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the frame defines a grille opening and at least partially defines a flow path opening. The decompression panel assembly also includes a face panel having a first surface retained against the frame second surface such that the face panel at least partially covers the grille opening. A retention mechanism is coupled to the face panel and is configured to retain the face panel against the frame in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 10384803
Abstract: Lighting components for illuminating an aisle portion of a cabin floor of an aircraft, and aircraft and passenger seats for an aircraft including the same are disclosed. Said lighting components are configured to illuminate at least a portion of the aisle, between adjacent passenger seats positioned on either side of the aisle. The lighting components are configured to direct light towards the cabin floor using a specially designed housing and reflector surface that are designed to illuminate objects in the aisle, while minimizing light pollution in the cabin and detection by passengers on board the aircraft. Said lighting components are optionally mounted on one or more passenger seats, and/or may be integrally formed with a passenger seat. Lighting components include a curved reflector surface configured to reflect light from a light source positioned within the housing such that it is directed towards the aisle to create the desired illumination.

  • Patent number: 10313471
Abstract: Data can be stored in a persistent-memory device, rather than a hard drive, of a computing device. A copy of the data can also be stored in another persistent-memory device of a remote computing device. For example, a central processing unit (of the computing device) can perform a first write operation to cause a file to be stored in the persistent-memory device. A memory controller can perform a second write operation to cause another memory controller of the remote computing device to store a copy of the file in the other persistent-memory device of the remote computing device.

  • Patent number: 10279887
Abstract: A decompression panel assembly for use in an aircraft includes a frame including a first surface and an opposing second surface, wherein the frame defines a grille opening and at least partially defines a flow path opening that are each defined between the first and second surfaces. The decompression panel assembly also includes a first panel and a second panel pivotally coupled together at a central hinge. A retention plate is releasably coupled to the first and second panels and is configured to move between a closed position and an open position. The first and second panels at least partially cover the grille opening in a planar position when the retention plate is in the closed position, and the first and second panels move away from the grille opening to a folded position when the retention plate is in the open position.

  • Patent number: 10073487
Abstract: A system and method is provided for an adjustable spring plunger bumper with high initial load and low final load. The spring plunger bumper includes an exterior body surrounding a plunger. The plunger has a plunger indent into which a displacement ball is induced by a ramp sleeve biased by a ramp sleeve spring. As the plunger is displaced relative to the exterior body, the displacement ball contacts a lower displacement ball inclined surface, which provides a high initial load resisting the displacement of the plunger. However, as the displacement of the plunger continues, the displacement ball comes into contact with a smooth lower displacement ball indent surface which provides a lower load. A return spring is positioned between the plunger and the exterior body to return them to their initial position relative to each other when the displacement of the plunger is removed.
