    Abstract: Process for the manufacture of 2-imino-3-(2-chloro-2-phenylethyl)thiazolidine (known intermediate in manufacture of the anthelmintic agent tetramisole) by reacting 2-imino-3-(2-hydroxy-2-phenylethyl)thiazolidine with chlorosulphonic acid and either aqueous hydrochloric acid or water. Preferred procedure involves use of chlorosulphonic acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid.
