  • Publication number: 20240141835
Abstract: A gas turbine engine is provided. The gas turbine engine includes: a turbomachine having a compressor section, a combustion section, and a turbine section arranged in serial flow order, the compressor section having a high pressure compressor defining a high pressure compressor exit area (AHPCExit) in square inches; wherein the gas turbine engine defines a redline exhaust gas temperature (EGT) in degrees Celsius, a total sea level static thrust output (FnTotal) in pounds, and a corrected specific thrust, wherein the corrected specific thrust is greater than or equal to 42 and less than or equal to 90, the corrected specific determined as follows: FnTotal×EGT/(AHPCExit2×1000).

  • Patent number: 10678969
Abstract: Systems and methods for predicting usage based lifing and low cycle fatigue consumption are provided. In one example embodiment, a method can include obtaining historical flight data associated with one or more gas turbine engines of an aerial vehicle; obtaining data indicative of one or more operational conditions of the aerial vehicle during an operating period; determining whether the flight data is indicative of a usable flight; and constructing a model correlating low cycle fatigue consumption with flight data using a machine learning technique.

  • Patent number: 6519565
Abstract: A security method compares a present verbal utterance with a previously recorded verbal utterance by comparing time-frequency domain representations of the utterances, with multiple repeat utterances forming a basis for determining a variation in repetitious performance by an individual, and similar differences between enrollment and challenge utterances forming a basis for a similar analysis of variance between enrollment and challenge utterances. In one embodiment a set of enrollment data is searched by each challenge until either a match is made, indicating an action, possibly dependent upon the specific match, or no match is made indicating an abort. In one application an individual is accepted or rejected as an imposter, in another applicaton, a selected action is accepted as corresponding to a verbal command.

  • Patent number: 6296033
Abstract: A tape applicator includes a frame. A blade is affixed to the frame. A guard is mounted on the frame and extends from the frame beyond the edge of the blade. The guard is deflected as the tape is drawn across the blade.

  • Patent number: 4423837
Abstract: An improved needle construction for use in tag attachers. The needle includes an elongated body having a mounting end and a piercing end. The mounting end of the body is releasably securable to the tag attacher. The piercing end of the body includes a sharp point for piercing the article to be tagged. The elongated body includes an enlarged collar proximate the mounting end of the body which abuts against the front surface of the tag attacher when the needle is secured thereon.

  • Patent number: 4263730
Abstract: A filament-type attachment device with a label formed from a stretch oriented thermoplastic material is provided. The attachment device includes a filament formed with a label engaging portion at its first end and a cross-bar joined to a second end of the filament, and a label formed with a receiving portion adapted to receive the engaging portion of the filament. The label and engaging portion are formed to facilitate securing the label and resist removal from the filament.

  • Patent number: 4170299
Abstract: In a rack and tie-back clip assembly, the clips are joined in pairs by a cord and are held in a linear array on the rack. The clips can be disengaged in pairs from the rack, the mounting arrangement of the clips on the rack being such that entanglement of the cords does not occur either in storage or during removal of the clips. The rack has bars which sit within slots in the clips so as to prevent rotation of the clips while held in the rack. In a preferred arrangement, each rack holds two rows of clips, the clips lying against each other so as to provide additional stability to the assembly.
