  • Publication number: 20020082900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and centralized system established over the Internet for automatically generating information directed to products one or more suppliers in response to user request of criteria and collecting information of market research and user trend data directed to demographic information of the users of the system and user request criteria via the Internet. The market research and user trend data can be forwarded to suppliers registered with the system and matching the users request criteria. The system also provides for generating rebate certificates directed to products requested by the user, as marketing incentives. In particular, the method and system of the present invention can be used for automatically generating a selection of solvent products in response to user input criteria of characteristics of the solvents.

  • Patent number: 6289368
Abstract: A method and apparatus for graphically indicating the status of one or more computer processes. The processes can be batch or online processes, which can be scheduled for, executing or abended on a mainframe computer or distributed computer system. Flowcharts or milestone charts are provided to graphically display to the user the status of one or more processes. Information regarding the relationships between processes is also provided. Color may be employed to indicate the status of a particular process. A preferred embodiment employs a client/server architecture. A message stream of process status is provided to the application server from the mainframe or distributed computer system.

  • Patent number: 5930810
Abstract: A printing system operates on a computer system to enable creation of a variety of printed products. The printing system takes either a kiosk form or a personal system form. The printing system contains a variety of definitions of products in its storage which may be selected and modified by a user. The user may alter a plurality of aspects of the selected product including the layout of the product, the graphics of the product and different aspects of the textual information to be printed on the product to personalize the product. Upon completion of personalization of the product, the printing system provides the user with a plurality of order and transmission options which allow certain products to be printed locally, and which allows certain products to be printed by a remotely located printing facility. The user may create a print order which is transmitted in one of two manners to the remote printing facility.
