Abstract: A process for making high active alkyl sulphate solutions comprising premixing alcohol and/or alkoxylated nonionic surfactant with an organic amine and adding sulfuric acid to the premix to produce a neutralized product having substantially no water is provided. The weight ratio of the sulfuric acid additive to the premix is from 0.5:1 to 9:1.

Abstract: A composite package comprising an inner plastic container (10) and an outer sleeve (20), wherein the outer sleeve has an aperture (21) cut into it in the region of one of its edges. The inner plastic container has an integral plastic handle (11) formed along part of one of its edges. When the package is assembled, the aperture in the outer sleeve corresponds with the plastic handle of the inner container, thereby allowing the composite package to be picked up and handled by means of the plastic handle.

Abstract: A process is disclosed for the manufacture of a liquid detergent composition comprising a sulphiting agent and an enzyme system. Said enzyme system and said sulphiting agent interact together so as to generate odors which result in an odor deviation in said detergent composition. In the process of the invention, said enzyme system and said sulphiting agent are intimately mixed together separately from the remainder of the detergent composition so as to generate said odors outside the remainder of said detergent composition. Also disclosed is an enzyme premix consisting essentially of said enzyme system and said sulphiting agent.
