  • Patent number: 12090917
Abstract: A system for power reduction during vehicle access. A memory storing instructions executable by a processor includes instructions to receive an access message by a target vehicle, authenticate the access message, and determine either an occurrence of a power-saving condition or a non-occurrence of the power-saving condition. The instructions include activating a greeting indicator upon authentication of the access message and determining the non-occurrence of the power-saving condition, and determining not to activate the greeting indicator upon authentication of the access message and determining the occurrence of the power-saving condition.

  • Publication number: 20230106070
Abstract: A microphone assembly can include a microphone capsule having a diaphragm and a diaphragm cover, a grill for protecting the microphone capsule, and a filter material placed between the grill and the diaphragm cover. The microphone assembly can include a first air gap between the grill and the filter material to create a first interface, a second air gap between the filter material and the diaphragm cover to create a second interface, and a third air gap between the diaphragm cover and a diaphragm to create a third interface. The first interface, the second interface, and the third interface are each configured to create turbulence to assist in draining off energy from plosives and wind and reduce intensity of disturbances at the diaphragm. The filter material may include a mesh and can be supported by a frame, and the frame may be configured to fit underneath the grill.

  • Publication number: 20100255491
Abstract: A 15 kDa selenium-containing protein (“selenoprotein”) is disclosed. The protein is shown to be differentially expressed in cancer cells, such as prostate cancer cells. There is a correlation between the presence of a polymorphism at nucleotide positions 811 and 1125 of the 15 kDa selenoprotein gene, and the presence of cancer. This polymorphism is more prevalent in the African American population. The determination of an individual's genotype may be used as an indicator of the need for dietary selenium supplementation to inhibit tumor development. Compositions including the isolated protein, specific binding agents that recognize the protein, as well as underlying nucleic acid sequences are presented, as are methods of using such compositions.
