  • Publication number: 20240041610
Abstract: A subtalar joint implant system that includes a first implant component and a second implant component is disclosed herein. An alternative embodiment of a subtalar joint implant system is disclosed and includes a first component that has threads disposed on at least a portion of an exterior surface of the first component and a second component having threads disposed on at least a portion of the exterior surface of the second component. The first and second components are each configured to couple with at least a portion of a talus and a calcaneum of a patient with the first component being configured to couple with at least a portion of a posterior facet of the calcaneum of the patient and the second component being configured to couple with at least a portion of a middle facet of the calcaneum of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20230320861
Abstract: A method for performing an arthroplasty of a subtalar joint includes making at least one incision adjacent the subtalar joint, accessing the subtalar joint defined superiorly by a first articular surface and inferiorly by a second articular surface, and preparing at least one of the first articular surface and the second articular surface to form first and second interfacing surfaces. The method further includes identifying at least one landmark of the first interfacing surface and the second interfacing surface, determining at least one significant point on at least one of the first interfacing surface and the second interfacing surface relative to the at least one landmark, and placing at least one trial implant. The method also includes securing an implant positioned substantially inferior relative to the first interfacing surface and substantially superior relative to the second interfacing surface, stabilizing the subtalar joint, and closing the at least one incision.

  • Publication number: 20220230222
Abstract: Systems and methods of the inventive subject matter are directed to generating insights into user-selected items based on a cohort of related items. In embodiments, users access a platform server and subsequently make a selection (e.g., the user selects a home listing). The platform server then identifies similar home listings to populate a cohort. Once the cohort is generated, statistics based on that cohort can be determined, and one or more of those statistics can then be used by the platform server to deliver an insight into the user-selected item. For example, if a user selects a home listing in a certain zip code, the platform server could alert the user that the selected home listing is more expensive than 75% of related listings, where the 75% value is calculated using the cohort of related home listings that is generated after the user selects the home listing.

  • Publication number: 20060066385
Abstract: A switching circuit (20) comprising first and second switch terminals (2,3) and a switch (21). The switch (21) comprises a first bipolar transistor (22), having a collector connected to the first switch terminal (2) and an emitter connected to the second switch terminal (3), and a second bipolar transistor (23), having an emitter connected to the first switch terminal (2) and a collector connected to the second switch terminal (3). The switch (21) can be turned on by supply of a control current to the base of either the first or the second bipolar transistor.

  • Patent number: 6323941
Abstract: A sensor assembly for imaging passive infrared (IR) scenes and active laser radar (LADAR) scenes and for generating multi-dimension image data sets, and a method for same. A two-dimensional semiconductor imager sensitive to both passive IR radiation and active LADAR radiation when used in conjunction with subsequent signal processing creates a two-dimension passive image data set and a three-dimension active image data set with common x and y coordinates. The passive image data set is collected substantially proximate in time with the active image data set. The two image data sets are combined to form a multi-dimension image data set with the surface of three-dimensional objects indicating heat emission. The sensor assembly applies to burst illumination LADARs operating at a variety of wavelengths and passive IR detection in the middle wavelength IR (MWIR) or long wavelength IR (LWIR).

  • Patent number: 4948307
Abstract: A portable, hand-held machine for stripping hard surfaces such as fibreglass boat hulls which have suffered osmotic deterioration. The machine has a hose fed hydraulic motor for outdoor work and a cutter block fitted with rows of tungsten carbide teeth which exert a planing action. Individually adjustable stops control the depth of cut. Trickle feed water arrests dust and prevents clogging. Stripping rates of about 12 m.sup.2 /hr are sustainable.

  • Patent number: 4038138
Abstract: A nuclear reactor fuel element having wire wrap spacing means of a form which contacts the fuel element at a series of regularly spaced intermittent points so that coolant can flow between the wire wrap and the fuel element and between the points of contact. The wire wraps may be of single wire coiled coil form or twin interwound wires.
