  • Patent number: 5569228
Abstract: Disclosed is a sanitary napkin and releasable wrapper package. The releasable wrapper is folded about the longitudinal side margins of the sanitary napkin in a C-fold so that both faces of the sanitary napkin are protected and a relatively smaller package is produced than if the releasable wrapper extends laterally beyond the longitudinal side margins of the sanitary napkin. The releasable wrapper and sanitary napkin may be trifolded about spaced-apart, laterally oriented fold lines to produce a discrete single use package. Several variations, including flapped and asymmetric embodiments, are illustrated.

  • Patent number: 5484636
Abstract: A sanitary napkin wrapper and adhesive tab construction for such a wrapper are disclosed. • Patent number: 4582216
Abstract: A container having an upstanding rim running around the periphery of its top lid and a pre-cut dispensing aperture therein is provided with an integral pouring lip/drain surface between the container's rim and dispensing aperture. The container is also provided with an easy-open/reclosing element that is preferably hingedly attached to the container's top lid. The easy-open/reclosing element has a depending plug that is shaped complementary to the dispensing aperture. When pressed into the aperture, the plug initially seals the container and, if desired, is used to reclose the aperture after opening. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the easy-open/reclosing element is provided with a U-shaped flange that is shaped complementary to both the top lid's pouring lip and upstanding rim. When the easy-open/reclosing element is in its closed position, this U-shaped flange receives the container's pouring lip and rim and thereby protects them from dirt and dust contamination.

  • Patent number: 4191517
Abstract: Method and apparatus for imparting a predetermined shape to discrete units of product of dough-like consistency. In a preferred embodiment, said method comprises filling an image containing cavity exhibiting said shape with said dough-like product and thereafter removing said product from said cavity without substantially altering its shape by causing said cavity to assume an image substantially symmetrical to its original image. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the image containing cavity is lined with a resiliently deformable diaphragm, and the cavity is turned inside out by applying fluid pressure to the surface of the diaphragm opposite the product.
