Abstract: A portable writing platform adapted to be used with a book includes a generally planar base adapted to be positioned around a portion of the book, an attachment member adapted for removably attaching the base to the book, a writing surface, and an adjustable attachment between the writing surface and the generally planar base. The adjustable attachment enables the writing surface to move between a stored position wherein the writing surface is adjacent the generally planar base, and an extended position wherein the writing surface extends outwardly from the generally planar base.
