Abstract: A container comprises: (i) a hydrogen generating means comprising an active material arranged to generate molecular hydrogen on reaction with moisture; (ii) a catalyst capable of catalyzing a reaction between molecular hydrogen and molecular oxygen; and (iii) a barrier means for restricting passage of small organic molecules from a product contained, in use, in the container, to the catalyst associated with a closure or body wall of the container.

Abstract: A multiple conversion tuner comprises a plurality of cascade-connected frequency changers, each of which comprises a mixer and a local oscillator. The tuner also comprises a local oscillator frequency selecting circuit which controls the frequencies of the local oscillators. The frequencies are controlled so that the final mixer 10 converts a desired signal to the final intermediate frequency and so that the frequency band occupied by the desired signal at the output of each mixer is within the passband of the following intermediate frequency part of the tuner. The local oscillator frequencies are also chosen so that there is no signal of unacceptably large level in the frequency band of the desired signal at the final intermediate frequency resulting from mixing of an undesired signal with harmonics higher than the first harmonic of the local oscillator signals.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for collaborative record-keeping is characterized by an author signature string that is derived from a hashed combination of at least a portion of the record, a first date/time stamp provided by a server, and a data string representative of the identity of the author. A witness signature string derived from a hashed combination of a second date/time stamp provided by the server and a data string representative of the identity of the witness is also appended to the record. The signed and witnessed electronic record is stored in a write-protected and delete-protected manner.
