  • Publication number: 20090061958
Abstract: An arm mounting bracket provides means for mounting cell phones, cordless phone, PDA's, Palm Pilots, iPods, GPS units, mini computers or similar devices directly to a user's arm so that the phone or PDA can be used directly as mounted on the user's arm. The apparatus comprises one or two sets of brackets 11 or 21 that are attached to the phone, Palm Pilot, Blackberry, PDA, GPS unit, mini computer or similar device. The brackets may be either integrated into the device body 21 or may be attached to existing devices 11. Single piece 41 or multiple piece 42 armbands are secured to the brackets and to the user's arm. This allows the user to mount the device directly to his/her arm 13. The brackets and arm bands are so designed that the user can use the device visual display and data entry area while the device is attached to the user's arm.

  • Publication number: 20030178446
Abstract: A caulking cartridge 21 comprising a cylindrical body section 22 for holding caulking or other material, an offset dispensing nozzle 41 on the cartridge body section end wall 12, and a moveable diaphragm 27 for propelling the material towards the offset nozzle 41. The offset nozzle 41 has a base 42 for attaching the offset nozzle 41 to the body section end wall 12, a tubular mid section 44 for conveying the material, and an offset tip 43 containing an offset dispensing orifice 45 for dispensing the material. The nozzle base 42 is attached to the body section end wall 12 at the body section longitudinal centerline 25. The offset nozzle tip 43 and offset dispensing orifice 45 are laterally offset from the body section longitudinal centerline 25. The lateral offset of the nozzle tip 43 and dispensing orifice 45 facilitates applying caulking in difficult to access locations.

  • Patent number: 6233138
Abstract: A telescoping pivot hinge for a notebook computer or similar device provides an apparatus for the angle of inclination, the vertical elevation, and the horizontal distance of the visual display 38 to be adjusted relative to the input device 28. A first embodiment provides apparatus for adjusting the angle of inclination and the vertical elevation of the visual display 38 relative to the input device 28. A second embodiment provides apparatus for adjusting the angle of inclination, the vertical elevation and the horizontal distance of the visual display 38 relative to the input device 28. Input male member rod sections 54 telescopically engage input female member tunnels 62 on the input housing lower side 23 to provide apparatus for adjusting the horizontal distance between the display housing 31 and the input housing 21.

  • Patent number: 6213608
Abstract: A viewing mirror device to assist a vehicle driver when connecting the vehicle to a trailer. The mirror device comprises a viewing mirror, an attachment tube or channel for attaching the device to the vehicle hitch, and a mast that connects the viewing mirror to the attachment tube or channel. The position of the viewing mirror can be adjusted so that the vehicle driver can see both the vehicle hitch connection point and the trailer tongue connection point in the mirror.

  • Patent number: 6198524
Abstract: A system for creating the perception of visual depth in scenery comprising lateral movements. A polarizing projection filter 21 controls the plane of polarization of projected light. The plane of polarization is changed by changing the orientation of the polarizing projection filter. An observer wears special viewing glasses 22 with polarizing filters when viewing scenery illuminated by the polarizing projection filter. The plane of polarization of the polarizing viewing filter for the right eye 23 is rotated 45 degrees clockwise from horizontal. The plane of polarization of the polarizing viewing filter for the left eye 24 is rotated 45 degrees counterclockwise from horizontal. When the polarizing projection filter is rotated clockwise from horizontal the scenery appears brighter to an observer's right eye than to the observer's left eye. Objects moving laterally 42 from right to left from the observer's perspective appear closer to the observer 43.

  • Patent number: 6144440
Abstract: The current invention discloses methods for using laterally moving objects and laterally moving backgrounds in colored live scenes to create the perception of depth when scenes are viewed with viewer glasses having lens or filters of two different colors. The invention also discloses methods for using laterally moving objects and laterally moving backgrounds in colored imagery to create the perception of depth when the imagery is viewed with viewer glasses having lens or filters of two different colors. In a further aspect, the invention discloses colored imagery comprising laterally moving objects and laterally moving backgrounds to create the perception of depth when the imagery is viewed with viewer glasses having lens or filters of two different colors.

  • Patent number: 5886771
Abstract: A system for creating the perception of visual depth in two dimensional single image displays. A polarizing projection filter 1c provides means to control the plane of polarization of projected imagery. The plane of polarization is changed by changing the orientation of the polarizing projection filter. An observer wears special viewing glasses 2 with polarizing filters when viewing imagery polarized by the polarizing projection filter. The plane of polarization of the polarizing viewing filter for the right eye 3 is oriented 30 degrees clockwise from horizontal. The plane of polarization of the polarizing viewing filter for the left eye 4 is oriented 30 degrees counterclockwise from horizontal. When the polarizing projection filter has an angular offset of approximately 45 degrees clockwise from horizontal the projected imagery appears approximately 20 times brighter to an observer's right eye than to the observer's left eye.
