  • Publication number: 20240278340
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube cutter (1:1.1) for cutting a round tube (100). The tube cutter (1:1.1) comprises a main body (2:2.1), a cutting device (3) assigned to the main body (2:2.1), and a rotary guide (4) for the main body (2:2.1). The rotary guide (4) is designed to rotatably receive the round tube (100) in order to allow for a rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.1) about the central axis (110) of the round tube (100) along its outer circumference (120). The cutting device (3) has a cutting part (5) with a blade (6) lying in a cutting plane (7) and is designed such that, with a rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.1) about the round tube (100), the blade (6) executes a circumferential cut (400) in the cutting plane (7). In the tube cutter (1:1.1), at least one forming element (8) is also provided, which protrudes into the cutting plane (7) or is positioned at least in the cutting plane (7) and is designed such that, with the rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.

  • Publication number: 20070246938
Abstract: A press fitting arrangement includes a sealing ring to be housed within a bead of a press fitting into which a tube is to be inserted. There is at least one gap between the press fitting together with the sealing ring and the tube which is closed by pressing at least one portion of the press fitting. The sealing ring has at least one first portion along the majority of its circumference. Each first portion of the sealing ring has an outside diameter SOD1 prior to fitment into the press fitting bead which is larger than the inside bead diameter BID and an inside diameter SID1 prior to the insertion of the tube which is less than the tube outside diameter TOD. Additionally, the sealing ring has at least one pair of diametrically opposing second portions, each second portion of the sealing ring comprising a recess between the two projections.

  • Publication number: 20070128912
Abstract: A method for producing a press connection arrangement comprises connecting a body to a socket to form a unit, inserting an end of a tube into at least a part of the unit, and press-connecting the socket onto the tube in the area of a bead provided by the socket to house a sealing element between the socket and the tube and obtain a press connection arrangement being fluid tight. The element of connecting the body to the socket further comprises screwing a thread of the body onto a thread of the socket and, at least partially deforming the mating threads to create an anti-rotational lock. A press connection arrangement produced by such a method is also defined.

  • Publication number: 20070075542
Abstract: A pipe fitting comprising a housing (10:37:41) defining at ore rolled over end thereof an opening (36) through which it is intended a predetermined diameter pipe (28) is inserted, in use, with a clearance space between the pipe and the housing, The fitting has a grip-ring (19) for gripping the pipe (28) and a pipe support means (20:38) downstream of the grip-ring and ahead of sealing means (21). Downstream of the sealing means, are means (22:40) for limiting movement of the sealing means. The rolled over end of the housing effects engagement of the grip-ring with the housing and thus ensures electrical continuity between an inserted pipe and the housing. Also disclosed is a release tool (42) for use with the fitting.

  • Publication number: 20050253386
Abstract: A device (20) or restricting removal from the end of a tubular member (2) of a collar (4) or the like located on the tubular member (2) and a method using the device (20), the device (20) comprising an axially extending portion (22) for engagement in the end of the tubular member (2) and a radially outwardly extending portion (28) which in use is located outside the end of the tubular member (2) and which extends radially outwardly to a greater diameter than the internal diameter of the collar (4), thereby to restrict removal of the collar (4) from the end of the tubular member (2).
