  • Patent number: 10749858
Abstract: An example device includes a processor coupled to a network and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory includes computer code for causing the processor to establish a secure connection between a manageability application and an interconnect device, the interconnect device being in communication with a newly connected networked device; and securely communicate, from the manageability application to the interconnect device, temporary login information for the networked device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 4, 2015
Date of Patent: August 18, 2020
Assignee: HEWLETT PACKARD ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT LP
Inventors: Alan Goodrum, Suhas Shivanna, David Koenen, Patrick Schoeller
  • Patent number: 10096985
Abstract: A system includes a chassis having an interior containing at least one component secured to a base. A cable storage module is attached to the chassis and has a frame defining an interior space in which a cable is stored. The cable has a first end extending out of the frame for connection to the component and a second end extending out of the frame for connection to a device exterior to the chassis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 31, 2014
Date of Patent: October 9, 2018
Assignee: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP
Inventors: Paul Rosenberg, Alan Goodrum, Sarah Anthony, Steven W Trovinger, Kevin B Leigh

  • Patent number: 9811141
Abstract: A power capping system (10) and method (200) are provided. In one embodiment, a power capping system (10) includes a power controller (16) configured to calculate an error between a predefined maximum desired power and a power feedback signal associated with actual power consumption of a server (12) and to provide a power capping signal that substantially limits the power consumption of the server (12) based on a predetermined gain constant and the error. The system also includes a management interface (18) configured to generate a normalization factor based on the power feedback signal. The normalization factor can be implemented to normalize the error.
