  • Patent number: 10345383
Abstract: A device is disclosed that determines the actual capacity of a battery. The device determines the charge state of the battery and monitors discharge events. Before additional charge is applied, a minimum useful capacity is recorded based on passed charge values recorded by a battery gas gauge during discharge. Before a low voltage shut down, a full capacity is recorded based on passed charge values. The battery capacity information can be used to provide insights on the timing for battery replacement and for improvement in workflows involving the device.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 7, 2015
Date of Patent: July 9, 2019
    Assignee: Hand Held Products, Inc.
Inventors: Jeffrey Wayne Mullen, Mark Alan Howe, Ramon Redondo
  • Patent number: 10081722
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a composite structure. The apparatus comprises a fiber layer. The fiber layer comprises a plurality of fiber bundles and a number of filler portions. The plurality of fiber bundles has a number of spaces between the plurality of fiber bundles. A number of filler is comprised of discontinuous filaments that substantially fill the number of spaces between the plurality of fiber bundles.

  • Publication number: 20080040965
Abstract: A plurality of actuators allow a gun operator to control the on/off status of an illuminator attached to a weapon in the area forward of the trigger guard. The actuators are spaced to allow them to extend rearwardly on opposite sides of the trigger guard. “Up” turns the light emitter on and keeps it on or allows it to turn on as long as the actuator is actuated, regardless of which side of the trigger guard the actuator is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20050257415
Abstract: An attachment system is provided for attaching an auxiliary device to a weapon having a frame, and in particular to a weapon frame in the area forward of the trigger guard. An attachment mechanism on the auxiliary apparatus is adapted to be engageable with a rail on the weapon to selectively attach the auxiliary apparatus. The weapon may include a transverse slot which can be engaged by a portion of the auxiliary device to prevent the auxiliary apparatus from sliding relative to the weapon due to recoil forces associated with firing the weapon.
