  • Publication number: 20210086540
Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to print media. In one example, a print medium can include a print surface and a microembossed identification code applied to the print surface. The microembossed identification code can include multiple microembossed features grouped together at a location on the print surface. The microembossed features can have a feature height from 5 ?m to 200 ?m and can be spaced relative to adjacent microembossed features at from 20 ?m to 1,000 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20210078342
Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to setting printer parameters. In one example, a method of setting printer parameters can include loading a print medium into a printer. The print medium can include a print surface and an identification code on the print surface, the identification code including multiple surface property discontinuities on the print surface, wherein the print surface is continuous at the multiple surface property discontinuities, and wherein the multiple surface property discontinuities are non-additive and are grouped together at a location on the print surface. The surface property discontinuities can be detected using a sensor integrated with the printer to read the identification code. An operating parameter of the printer can be selected based on the identification code.

  • Patent number: 10792935
Abstract: In one example of the disclosure, a print agent is applied upon a length of web substrate. A dryer is utilized to dry the web substrate length. Moisture is applied to the web substrate length. The moisturized web substrate length is wound upon a spool to form a top liner length, with no dryer to be utilized to dry the web substrate length between the moisture application and the winding.

  • Publication number: 20170361626
Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to a coating device and a method of manufacturing a coated media substrate. The coating device can comprise a pre-moisturizer and pre-heater unit to apply heat and moisture to a media substrate; a coating composition applicator to apply a wet coating composition to the media substrate after it has been heated and moisturized by the pre-moisturizer and pre-heater unit; and a dryer to receive the media substrate having the wet coating composition applied thereto and to remove moisture, thereby generating a coated media substrate.
