  • Publication number: 20240049984
Abstract: A breathalyser comprises a breath chamber 12 defining an inlet 14 for a breath sample and an outlet 16. A sensor 18 for an intoxicating substance is in fluid flow communication with the outlet 16. The sensor comprises an output for an electronic signal representative of a concentration of the intoxicating substance in the sample. A pump 20 moves the sample via the outlet 16 to the sensor 18. First electronic circuitry 22 comprises a controller 24 comprising a processor for processing the signal and to generate data relating to the concentration of the intoxicating substance. Second electronic circuitry 26 comprises a memory arrangement 28 which is in signal communication with the first electronic circuitry and stores the generated data. The first electronic circuitry 22 is permanently mounted in a main housing 30 of the breathalyser. At least the sensor 18 and the second electronic circuitry 26 form part of a cartridge 32.2 which is removably mountable on the main housing 30.

  • Publication number: 20210279977
Abstract: A telematics system 34 for a vehicle 10 is provided. The vehicle 10 comprises a controller area network bus (CAN-bus) 30, an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system comprising a data port at a first OBD connector part 32 provided on the CAN-bus. The telematics system 34 comprises a basic security system 12 providing a first and limited set of functionalities and a telematics device 36 which is connected to a second OBD connector part 38 which in turn is connectable to the first OBD connector part 32. The telematics device 36 comprises a controller 41, a second wireless transceiver 40 which is connected to controller 41 and which, in use, is in data communication with the first wireless transceiver 24 of the security system 12. A means in the form of a GPS receiver 42 is connected to the controller for providing a second set of functionalities not included in the first limited set of functionalities.

  • Patent number: 9106619
Abstract: A system encrypts digital content data with a key of a content encryption key (CEK) pair and CEK related share data available to an end user station including a source for generating source encrypted data including content data. The share data is encrypted with a first key of a second encryption key pair associated with a targeted intermediate station including a processor receiving source encrypted data and being in data communication with a portable storage device associated with the end user station, which is associated with a third encryption key pair. The processor generates intermediate station encrypted data by decrypting encrypted share data using a key of the second key pair and encrypting resulting decrypted data using a key of the third key pair. A reconstruction processor uses an algorithm and input share data to reconstruct the CEK. A decryption processor uses the reconstructed CEK to decrypt encrypted content data.

  • Publication number: 20110123025
Abstract: A system for making digital content data available to an end user station (26.1) comprises a source (12) for generating source encrypted data comprising the content data encrypted with a key (15) of a content encryption key (CEK) pair and share data relating to the CEK. The share data being encrypted with a first key of a second encryption key pair, which second key pair is associated with a targeted intermediate station 18.1. The intermediate station 18.1 comprises a processor 22.1 for receiving the source encrypted data. The processor at the intermediate station is configured to be placed in data communication with a portable storage device (PSD), which is associated with the end user station 26.1. The end user station is associated with a third encryption key pair. The processor 22.1 is configured to generate intermediate station encrypted data by decrypting the encrypted share data utilizing a key of the second key pair and encrypting resulting decrypted data utilizing a key of the third key pair.

  • Publication number: 20040049777
Abstract: A system for effecting a transaction includes a head-end (3), a communications network (4), and a receiver (1), capable of receiving digital information, including content data from the head-end (3) through the network (4), and of making the content data available to a user on a display device (2). The receiver (1) further includes an interface (7) to a subscriber secure device (6). The system has the capability to create a transaction token, incorporating a first code uniquely identifying the subscriber secure device (6). The receiver (1) is programmed to make the first code available on the display device (2). The system further includes a terminal (9,10;12) for creating a transaction token, including an interface (10) to a client secure device (11;13). The terminal (9-12) includes a user interface for entering the first code, and is arranged to create the transaction token from the entered first code in co-operation with the client secure device (11;13).
