  • Publication number: 20140309113
Abstract: A pesticide composition includes an active component and polyethyleneimine having a weight average molecular weight of at least about 750,000 g/mol and has improved rainfastness. The polyethyleneimine of this invention has decreased mobility in water as compared to related lower molecular weight analogs. The pesticide composition is formed using a method that includes the steps of providing the active component, providing the polyethyleneimine, and combining the active component and the polyethyleneimine to form the pesticide composition.

  • Patent number: 6103252
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stable azinphos-methyl wettable powder formulation. The composition of the present invention contains an insecticide powder formulation and a magnesium sulfate heptahydrate. The magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is added to the azinphos-methyl formulation in an amount such that the magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is from about 5% by weight to about 20% by weight of the total mixture. The addition of the magnesium sulfate heptahydrate reduces deflagration of the azinphos-methyl formulation and reduces the tendency of exothermic decomposition to occur.

  • Patent number: 4748939
Abstract: A device is described for applying pesticide to livestock which includes a vertical cylindrical reservoir and a wick positioning assembly. Wicks extend from the reservoir up through the wick positioning assembly and dangle down outside the reservoir to a level low enough so that they can brush against livestock walking beneath the device. When a liquid pesticide composition is placed in the reservoir, wicking action will carry the pesticide through the wicks and apply it to the livestock as they contact the wicks.

  • Patent number: 4491254
Abstract: A liquid applicator for dispensing a chemical, such as a herbicide, in dilute aqueous form. The applicator has a first container adapted to contain a concentrated chemical and a second container adapted to receive chemical from the first container prediluted with water. A valve controls the flow of chemical and water from the first to the second container and controls the flow of water to an aspirator which further dilutes and discharges the chemical.
