    Abstract: A system and method are disclosed, which combine image data of a patient, such as images of the patient's GI tract, with rating mucosal damage. According to some embodiments of the present invention the system and method are able to assess a patient's GI tract condition, to monitor mucosal healing in a patient's GI tract, preferably, the small bowel (SB) mucosa and/or to differentiate between different pathological conditions. The system and method of the invention can provide a value or score arrived at by assigning a grade relating to one or more predetermined parameters.
