  • Patent number: 4831694
Abstract: A side-release type buckle is provided with a sliding member arrangement that enables the buckle to be easily released using only one hand, even if the engagement of the two parts of the buckle are being subjected to a strong pulling force in the direction of disengagement. The sliding member or grip is slidably mounted upon the exterior of the female member and includes laterally inwardly directed tapered surfaces for encountering engaging bars of the male member lockingly engaged with engagement edge portions of the female portion so as to disengage the engaging bars of the male member from the engagement edge portions of the female member when the slidable grip member is moved axially along the female member.

  • Patent number: 4796732
Abstract: An elongation type oil damper includes a cylinder containing oil in the inside, a hollow plunger slidably fitted in the cylinder, containing oil in the inner space thereof and projecting from a rod end of the cylinder for undergoing elongation and contraction strokes, and a floating piston inserted in the inner space of the plunger for axial movement in a state biased toward the end of the plunger projecting into the cylinder. The plunger is provided at the projecting end thereof with communication holes through which the oil in the plunger and the oil in the cylinder join each other and also with a valve capable of being moved axially to close some of the communication holes in the elongation or contraction stroke of the plunger.

  • Patent number: 4793452
Abstract: A piston-cylinder type oil damper includes a cylinder containing oil, a piston inserted within the cylinder for dividing the interior of the cylinder into a head chamber and a rod chamber, a rod passing through the rod chamber and projecting out of a rod end of the cylinder, a cover slidably penetrated by the rod and closing the rod end, and a floating piston inserted within the head or rod chamber so as to form an air chamber. The piston is provided with axial through-holes for causing the oil within the head and rod chambers to flow therethrough in opposite directions. The rod is provided with an axially movable valve plate brought into contact with one side of the piston for partially shielding the through-holes.
