  • Patent number: 11967246
Abstract: A configuration for a breathing sequence may be defined using a user interface of a user device. The user interface may also be used to begin the breathing sequence. During the breathing sequence, a fluctuating user interface element may fluctuate at a cyclic rate. Such fluctuation may include repeated growing and repeated shrinking of the fluctuating user interface element. During the breathing sequence, heart rate data may be collected and used to present heart rate information at a conclusion of the breathing sequence.

  • Publication number: 20060168680
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for conferring tolerance to an amino acid analog of tryptophan to a plant and/or altering the tryptophan content of a plant by introducing and expressing an isolated DNA segment encoding an anthranilate synthase in the cells of the plant. Transgenic plants transformed with an isolated DNA segment encoding an anthranilate synthase, as well as seeds and progeny derived from these plants, are also provided. The present invention also provides a cDNA sequence of an alpha and a beta subunit of a maize anthranilate synthase.

  • Publication number: 20060064772
Abstract: The present invention provides a transgenic maize plant having in its genome transgenic DNA including sequence for zein reduction and sequence for lysine biosynthesis, whereby expression of the transgenic DNA results in a synergistically increased lysine content of seed of the transgenic maize plant. The invention further provides a method for providing maize seed with synergistically increased lysine content.

  • Publication number: 20050250938
Abstract: Methods and compositions for the expression of transgenes in monocot plants including maize are disclosed. In the invention, gene silencing is avoided by use of monocot-homeologous sequences from plants of the genus Coix for transformation. Included in these transgene sequences are Coix promoters, enhancers, coding sequences and terminators. Suitable alternatives to maize-derived transgenes are desirable for expression in maize in that homology-based gene silencing can limit or effectively eliminate transgene expression.
