    Abstract: A method for regulating temperature and other characteristics of a gas stream flowing in a system is disclosed wherein a liquid is divided into droplets, the droplets are introduced directly into the gas stream to establish a heat exchange interface and the temperature of the liquid is regulated in order to maintain the temperature of the gas stream at a predetermined level at a predetermined target location in the system.
