The drug delivery layer has a support layer (5) which is attached to a first face of the drug deliver layer and a releasable protective layer (4) attached to a second face of the drug delivery layer. The releasable protective layer can be peeled away do the patch can be applied to the skin to release drugs in the microspheres. The patch is particularly useful for treating skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
