Graphical objects are stored in a computer memory coupled to the computer system. If the received graphical object matches a graphical object stored in the computer memory, an identifier identifying the matching graphical object, rather than the graphical object itself, is transmitted to the printer. Otherwise the received graphical object is stored in the computer memory and transmitted to the printer.
